Ipswich Manager – Newcastle Have Their Act Together

Former Sunderland manager Mick McCarthy has been managing Ipswich Town since back in 2012, and they are Newcastle’s opponents tomorrow afternoon at St. James’ Park.

Mick has given his press conference for the game tomorrow and he has said Ipswich will try to put  a stop to Newcastle’s good run.

Mick McCarthy – Ipswich manager

We have won our last four games and in the last 13 games in all competitions we have won nine of them.

Here’s what Mick said about the game tomorrow:

“We are going to the league leaders and arguably the best squad, best team, one of the best stadiums.”

“You know Newcastle shouldn’t be in the Championship.” “That is full stop.” “And the way they are going, they won’t be.”

“But we are going up there to try and put a stop to it.” “They have got their act together from the start, after two defeats on the bounce.”

“They’ve beaten Norwich, Brentford, but they will not be rubbing their hands thinking we are going up there.”

“They certainly know it won’t be easy.”

Here’s our record over the last 13 games in all competitions since our two defeats to start off the season.

Mick’s right that Rafa has the players prepared for every single game and we know it will not be an easy game against Ipswich, who have the best defensive record in the division and conceded only 9 goals.

They could well frustrate Newcastle tomorrow afternoon.

But we are playing well at the moment and as long as our defense is solid we may need only one goal to get all 3 points tomorrow – and another win is the target.

I think it will be a difficult game. They don’t concede many goals. They’ll probably park the bus. I’m going for my customary draw.

i expected to be top in october , but after the first 2 games, i wasnt sure . now we are there we will stay or maybe drop a place some time if we hit a dodgy patch like most teams do or weve had urs already at the start of the season lets hope. i think we have pt the fear factor into ‘ some’ teams now which will make it easier to contrlol games and play at our pace.Cant see us finishing out the top 2.
Any one know howmany tickets we could get for the forrest game on dec 2nd ??

    Rafa Bingo

    Yedlin Lascelles Clark Dummett
    Hayden Shelvey
    Ritchie Diame Atsu

Rafa said there maybe changes to keep people happy.

The only people I could see having a justified reason to be unhappy at not starting are Yedlin and Atsu. Both done well but Anita and Gouffran are preferred.

Does make me think Mitro could come in but you can’t really drop Gayle – guess we’ll just have to see.

Happy with whatever team he puts out to be fair

Think Sels, hanley, perez, murphy will get the nod Tuesday night.

It doesn’t matter which thread you post it on as long gone as it’s two hours before kick off and after Ed posts his. Posting g twice just makes it easier for people to post different line ups and therefore harder for me to check, I appreciate your help in this matter.

Raahht laahhk – Mick McCarth-ehh on’ Ilkley Moor baht ‘at etc the Wallace stand in and his adventurous sweeping style will arrive at SJP to do the usual no doubt – park the tractor. But I can’t see them being the team to stop our roll. I reckon we will plough through (see what I did there?) them 3-0.

I think Rafa views every game as a hard game, he doesn’t tolerate complacency, which is why we’ll go up.

The City ground can accommodate up to 4,750 away fans approx 10% of their record gate.
Whether they’ll provide that many depends on many factors

Possibility both Mitro and Gayle could start for Ipswich who will be defending deep and coming to get a point

Mindshaft – it’s what they seem to do. They haven’t done well lately but don’t seem to let many go past them. I think we can crack them though.
