Kieron Dyer played at Newcastle for eight years from 1999 and played the whole five years when Sir Bobby Robson was managing the club from 999.
And Kieron proved to be a challenge for the former England manager, basically because he was often a pain to manage on Tyneside.
Kieron and Craig Bellamy were a handful for Bobby while he was manager of his home town club and Kieron has since admitted he deeply regrets being such a handful for Sir Bobby Robson while he was on Tyneside.

But the former England International is upbeat about the future of Newcastle under Rafa Benitez and is impressed with the way things have been going this season.
After yesterday’s 3-0 win at home to Ipswich Town we are now 3 points clear at the top of the Championship table – 4 points if you take our goal difference into consideration.
[table “54” not found /]Kieron believes Rafa is the first manager since Sir Bobby was sacked back in August 2004 (for only finishing 5th top of the Premier League) who can bring some success to the Newcastle club.
This is what the 37 year-old has said in the Telegraph:
“When the team and supporters are united, the momentum is unstoppable,”
“I still keep a close eye on events there and I’m very excited about how things are going under Rafa Benítez.”
“For me, he is the first manager since Robson who can really achieve something big at the club.”
“I think they’ll be back in the Premier League next season and I think they’ll go on to surprise a lot of people when they get there.”
The 33-times capped England international played 255 times for Newcastle with a good 36 goals.
We bought him for £6M from Ipswich Town in 1999 when Ruud Gullit was the manager and sold him eight years later to West Ham for the same amount.
But he had terrible injury problems in London and played only 34 times in his four seasons at the Hammers.
