It wasn’t just the elbow to the face mate, Browne launched himself at Colback and pretty much cleaned him out, reckless and very dangerous, tw@t should be banned for the rest of the season, but three games is what he’ll get.
Still though Colback is a strong lads and will bounce back soon enough, well he has to be strong somewhere, he used to play for the makems………Strong stomach then!

Comment #14Does anyone know of whether cup games count towards Manager of the Month? Grayson has had a great October with Preston but didn’t know whether that would have changed it – if not maybe Saturday’s fixture will 🙂 I guess Houghton will be a contender too. To be honest he’s welcome to it – always seems to be a bit of a curse for managers who win it – team form takes a dip after winning!
Another good win… Preston managed just 1 shot all game and with Hayden hitting the post and Atsu hitting the bar twice it could have been much more embarrassing for them. Will probably have put the fear of God in them for Saturday’s game!
Looking forward to seeing who we draw in the quarter finals (secretly hoping for Hull or winner of Leeds-Norwich).

Comment #15I thought Colback was having one of his better games too.
Can’t beat a bit of shelvey on song.
Majestic.
Mitro Motm for me though. Outstanding.
Don’t think any player had a bad game.
Work ethic, cohesion and the understanding of individual roles within the team is there for all to see.
Best we’ve played for ages.

Comment #20Mitrovic surely must be worked more into the rotation now. He’s started two games since returning and we’ve banged in 11 and he’s been great both times. It’s a dilemma for Benitez, but Gayle, despite the goals can’t be considered a walk up start, with so many top notch attacking options coming into form. Ritchie, Gayle, Perez, Diame, Atsu and Gouffran all have very strong claims to be playing.
