Fans React On Twitter To Getting Hull Away In Quarter Finals

Fans have reacted quickly on Twitter to Newcastle being drawn at Hull in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup – with the ties to be played the week of Monday 28th November.

Most fans think this is a good draw for us and it will certainly be a good test against a Premier League side who seem to be struggling at the moment.

My guess is Newcastle and Liverpool will go through while Manure V Hammers and Arsenal v Southampton could go either way.

    firebug666,
Going to have to face one other two big clubs along the way to win a cup no matter which one it is. Who knows could be W Ham in the semi’s.

More often than not, the bindippers are drawn against much inferior opposition. The last round tested them though.

Could it be the gods trying to compensate for the grief that city seems to thrive on?

    An uncalled for observation but…..

Yep but whoever we get in the semis it going to be mouthwatering isn’t it?

Not only that but the closer we get the more our players will want it, and believe they can get it.

I have to admit, I am not use to all this excitement surrounding Newcastle, starting to feel like Iv’e gone back in time.

By the time we play Hull, they might have more important concerns on their minds, like a relegation fight whilst we are playing well away from home.

Hull are in the “R” zone, they have played 9 won 2 drawn 1 and lost six the have 7 points. Not having a great start to their season, you could say they are ripe for the picking. lol

You’re calling me a turn coat for going back to support the club now that we have the type of manager we’ve always wanted, all we’ve ever expected Ashley to do, he’s done it, what more do you want?

Your right mate, Hull are in trouble, lost their last five games and will be concentrating on getting out of the relegation zone, by the time we get to November 28th they may be licking their wounds and feeling a bit sorry for themselves.

So it was just the appointment of a decent manager was it?

    Sorry, not for me.

He’s done too much irreversible damage.

    I’m sure you know what.

Line block takes precedence over anything. Ya knaw, the difference between standing in a pof or a 70mp train.

    Gotta go.

Classic draw. We will beat Hull no worries.

Confidence has returned to the club, and by the time the Semis come round we will be a big threat for any of the teams left in the comp.

Plus we are are becoming a threat to the media, pundits and some opposing fans. There’s change in the air!! The club is organised and professionally run with a good chance of waking up and realising we are contenders for Trophies and fulfill our potential. Far Out, how good would would it be to hear some positive commentary from the media for a change!

Lots of positivity in the air – how do people think we’ll fare against PNE at their ground on Saturday? We might thrash them again or they may have learned a thing or two and set out to defend and we don’t come away with the 3 points.

    Personally, I’m down for a 3-1 win.

Madison, I’m with you, reckon we’ll beat Preston at the weekend.

Don’t reckon we’ll lose too many more games this season.

Squad continues to gel, and with a few more signings in Jan with EPL in mind we will be Styling

    @Shot Bru

    I hope we’re both right.

I have a feeling things will coast a bit, but Rafa needs to maintain the squad competitiveness to keep this going. It helps to have two games/week with a squad this size since the backups need time to shine as well (see: yesterday). It will be interesting to see how Rafa keeps people happy across the season since there are only so many spots in the matchday squad.

Preston at the weekend will yet again be a litmus test for the Rafalution,

I think if we think the same one game at a time mantra that Rafa keeps saying we’ll be fine.

Just now on channel 5 the presenters gushing at the quality we have.

Best team we’ve had in ages.

All the forwards firing very few injuries, defence 2nd best in the league.

At the minute it feels like we can win this at a canter. I don’t think this will be the case. It’s going to be a 3 way scrap Brighton and Norwich.

    Madison Toon,

One game at a time, think Hoots Brighton are the dark horse in this league.

I think end of January we’ll know a bit more.

Going good tho one game at a time 🙂

3 games in 6 days for us. 3 in 9 for Hull. That’s a tough aspect of this draw.
