Newcastle Get Hull Away In Quarter Finals

The draw for the quarter finals of the EFL (League) Cup has just taken place at Sky Sports and Newcastle have drawn Hull City away so we missed some of the heavy hitters.

EFL logo

That’s a winnable game for us against a side short on confidence and who are already struggling in the Premier League this season.

The full draw is as follows:

Liverpool v Leeds United
Man United v West Ham
Hull v Newcastle United
Arsenal v Southampton

The ties are to be played on the week starting Monday, November 28th.

We can get through to the last four!

??????? will be a tricky match for us, Ed, but I’m sure if we play to our best we can triumph!

In all seriousness, Hull away is a good draw. Look forward to it!

Would have been nice to play arsenal or Liverpool as they wouldn’t have played strongest teams for next round. They will for semis though

Not fussed about the away fixture, we are pretty good on the road too.

Hull is a very winnable game, and moves us a step closer to some silverware.

It will be interesting to see what odds the bookmakers give for the Hull game. We should be favourite, but as the away side, I think the odds will be the same for both sides.

Not read all the posts (thank fcuk) but mitro ripping his shirt off in celebration of scoring is a cause for concern? He’s not following orders?

    Get real! Robots next.

Do you know how pathetic that sounds.

Anything to beat the lad with eh!

As long as your back in the seats and you feel happy though.

    Turncoat.

Semi finalists likely to be Arsenal, Liverpool , Man Utd and Newcastle if we do the job at Hull.
Hope Hull let us take 10,000 down there – that would be cracking.
So all being well we then beat Man Ure in the semis and Rafa and theToon Army take on…yes you guessed it Rafa’s old club and the Scousers in the Final. 4-3 to Toon anyone?

Getting booked for taking your shirt off or celebrating with the fans is a load of bollox. So much for bringing fans and players together

The father in law mentioned earlier he’d like a New-Liv final. He still see’s us as his second favourite team (make of that what you will) and now with Rafa it’s like kk all over again.

I said there’d be murder. He didn’t get why.

    Fcuking damn right.

    Ridiculous rule.

I can see people’s frustration I.e they know it’s a yellow so why do it, but to say he’s not following orders is fcuking pathetic. It ain’t no do or die camp is it.

He should of got a red. Never play for NUFC again and get banned from football forever.

Just because someone thinks the sun shines out of every orifice rafa owns. Even though rafa hasn’t said as much.

    Yeah, you.

    Liverpool v Leeds United

Well Liverpool will beat Leeds, so they are going through.

    Man United v West Ham

Not sure about this one as Manure are not firing on all cylinders and the hammers have just beat Chelski tonight so this could go either way.

    Hull v Newcastle United

There is only one winner I can see in this match, so that’s Hull out of it.

    Arsenal v Southampton

Fancy this will be a good game, and Southampton could nick it, another game that could go either way.

Any of Liverpool, Arsenal or Man U home and away in a semi would be fantastic, considering our self inflected exile from the top flight, and that we are FLYING!!!!!!!!!

12th largest crowds in Europe, despite competing in the Championship.

It’s not so surprising that we have a manager of Rafa’s calibre, and a formidable side, as much as surprising that we most often don’t.
