Hows the bingo going, I probably have the same as most with zero points, but is there a top 3,5 or a top 10, or am I still in the top ten with nil points.

When you look at the bigger picture at that sorry lot down the road does it really matter either way whether they take tonight’s game seriously, they could not buy a win at the moment, it really wouldn’t matter if they put out their reserves and to be honest I wouldn’t even notice the difference between their reserve team and best eleven.

There’s a run away top two, firebug666 and Toontaff2 both with five points each.

Just read Grayson’s post match comments a few threads back. Could get used to all these supposed leaders of men, football managers, licking their wounds and feeling sorry for themselves after we wallop them.

He sounded very defeatist when looking towards Saturday.

Hoping for Leeds or Hull at home in the next round. Make it to the semi-finals and anything is possible over the two legs, especially with Rafa directing proceedings.

I like the way Grayson couldn’t promise avoiding another scoreline like that again.
I listened to Total Sport a few months ago and Ando said when we got promoted last that teams lost the game in the tunnel before the game, I think that we’re building that aura again.

ffs, that is incredible, all these matches and all these trying to predict and only two correct predictions, with two matches a week you could go from relegation certainties to runaway leaders within 3 days, mind some will pick already ruled out players like Lazaar was last night, that will keep the points total down !!!!!!!!!!!!

    On your Bingo thing Jail.
Maybe to make it more “interesting” (results wise) how about a point for every player correctly chosen and 3 (?) bonus points for getting them all correct.
Could show a little league table…..sounds like a lot of hard work now I think about it. 😉

Brilliant. Haven’t enjoyed it as much in years.

The shape and functionality brought in by Rafa is streets ahead of anything in recent years.

All round, an excellent feeling, and we’re still developing.

I got nine last night, I went with Perez rather than Diame as of late Rafa has tended to play Perez away and then Diame away, I also went with Clark rather than Hanley, both are left footed so would suit partnering Mbemba but with Clark just forcing his way in I thought that Rafa would continue with his run.

I was close but not close enough.

I think we pretty much have that affect now mate especially at St James no team in this league comes to us thinking they are going to win

If I was an opposition manager trying to take on Newcastle I’d have no idea how to set up the team because we are very fluid in selection and we’ve got too many danger men

I though Yedlin was brilliant last night and with Ritchie had free reign on the right to do whatever they wanted then when Preston sorted things out over there Atsu was give the space on the left to exploit, must be maddening

In an ideal world that would be the perfect way to do it, but it would be a full time job going back over and counting them all up.

that would be a lot of hard work, too much I suspect, a more realistic proposition would be a scoreline prediction where a spreadsheet would do a lot of the hard work for you.

I thought all the players that came in were great tbh Mbemba still looks class, Hanley did his job, the more I see of Atsu the more I want him to stay with us, Colback was great until he had to come off, Hayden could of held the midfield by himself last night he was everywhere, Dummett got forward, Diame was really good 2 cracking goals, Mitro looked good barring the pen incident (cant be on with his taking his top off when he scores either, he get booked for that?) even Sels looked more confident and make a great save (admittedly he could of had a deck chair out for 99% of the game but he can only do what he needs to)

Had Colback and that other player been niggling at each before the incident, it just seemed a bit bizarre and unnecessary, was it because they were getting hummed and he lost his rag.

Well what can be said about last night, 6-0 could and should have been 10, sitter missed posts and bar hit, but wow what a game.

i said it last night, right now we look more like a premiership now than we have done in the last 5 years, the football is out of this world, we attack from every angle, we get bodies in the box for options, we even use free kicks and corners to score goals.

    THIS IS FOOTBALL

I wouldn’t be surprised if Sunderland progress in the cup, they certainly will not be going out and beating teams, but they can park the bus and play the odds by getting to penalties.

got to put this out there i’m loving pep finally seeing wat a tough league is like!
and hopefully the world seeing why the prem is the toughest and best league in the world instead of the argument that the spanish way is the best way!

    load of crap and boring

    – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

That last line is exactly what your comment is.
I’m very happy with Rafa’s Spanish way and I love watching Barca and if you think watching Messi, Neymar and Suarez is crap and boring that says more about you than anything else.
