Initial Comments From Rafa’s Preston Press Conference

Rafa Benitez has just given his press conference for the game against Preston North End tomorrow afternoon at Deepdale, when we will try to extend our winning streak in all competitions to seven.

We beat Preston 6-0 on Tuesday night to reach the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup. so it’s now going to be a big test for the lads to show their professionalism and go to Preston tomorrow and win again.

Preston will provide a much sterner test tomorrow.

Rafa Benitez – finished his press conference today

Here are some of the initial comments Rafa made about the tough game tomorrow night:

“We have some players coming back from injury, and some players with little problems.”

“It will be different teams in a different competition, and it will be massively different for them, as they’re playing at home.”

“The key is that the staff and everyone here is pushing in the right direction.”

“It’s a long, long season, with a lot of games. Everything can change in one month.”

“At the moment, we have to enjoy the situation and keep trying to do the same things. We are working very hard.”

“Preston will change players, and they have done well against the top sides.”

“It will be tough.”

Almost eight fans in ten think we will win this game tomorrow afternoon and hold onto our 3 points lead at the top of the table.

That would be great!

Not going to repost my epic story, if you want to read it go back several threads.

Re Cabaye is he hinting at coming back, if so too late, we have better already and not just Shelvey.

    Rafa’s Barmy Bingo

    Yedlin Lascelles Clarke Dummett
    Hatden Shelvey
    Ritchie Diame Atsu

I think Rafa will be going at them from the off, if we get an early goal again it’ll be 3+-0

    colback ruled out through stitches
    chancel mbemna a doubt
lazaar and haidara added to squad

These are Lee Ryders words, just passing them on. Please no messamger shooting If info turns out to be duff.

If that’s correct it must be a training injury as he didn’t play on Tuesday.

Perhaps a bit of over exuberance from Mitro!! Hmmm.

What is fantastic about this though is the fact we now and finally have a rotated squad, I’ve been saying for years and many others have said the same that we needed a good set of rotated players and wor mighty Rafa has done this.

Oh and hi guys have I been missed lol I haven’t been on for a while so I’ve missed the gossip.

Well if Gayle is injured then this is Mitrovic’s big big chance he needs to start performing every week home and away!

I think it might end up with us being even more dangerous away from home because teams are all over us in midfield and the ball keeps coming back at least Mitro can hold it up and bring people into play
