Poll – Can Newcastle Make It 8 Wins In A Row Against Cardiff?

We are getting into heady heights with Newcastle at the moment and if we can get all 3 points on Saturday at home to Cardiff City, that will be 8 wins in a row for Newcastle in all competitions and 7 wins in  row in the league.

21 points from a possible 21 – not too bad.

Cardiff are 4th bottom of the league, but they have taken 7 points from their four games with new manager Neil Warnock in charge – so it will not be easy.

Should be a relatively easy win in all honesty – they’ll be physical and try to get in our faces in typical warnock style , if we get an early goal it could be a thrashing as they lose heart … still, think I’ll predict a 2-0 win

Sad news about commentator Mick Lowes having to retire – I suspect he has some health issues – I wish him all the best.

I think we will win this, the lads will be up for it, Rafa makes sure of that, and we have the quality to deal with Cardiff.

3-0 win for the Toon, as fortunately Armstrong won’t be playing for them 😀 .

Like Mindshaft says, they’ll be in our face so don’t give away any silly yellows that could lead to bans (Shelvey et al).

Another three points in the bag.

Yeah knowing Warnock they’ll keep the ball 30ft off the ground for as much as possible, and try their best to kick us off the park. Such Neanderthal style tactics may ensure its an ugly type of game if we don’t get that earlyish goal of course.
We always knew it was likely fellow Championship teams would do this to try and thwart our forward play, while piling high balls in when they get a set piece.
Think we can cope with it.

Does that mean we might see a Hanley Clarke partnership?

Rafa Benitez will make an 11th-hour decision on Dwight Gayle’s fitness for Newcastle United’s home game against Cardiff City….This combined with the admission by Perez that it has taken him three months to cope with the intensity of the of the Championship – makes working out the starting line up against Cardiff very difficult.
Which is Rafa’s objective I guess.
If Rafa went 4 – 4 – 2 Warnock would probably have nervous breakdown.
    😀
