Newcastle Pull Further Ahead At Top of The Championship

Newcastle have pulled 8 points ahead of Huddersfield in 3rd place in the Championship after Newcastle beat Cardiff City 2-1 in a hard-fought game in front of over 51,000 fans at St. James’ Park and the Trotters drew 1-1 at home to Birmingham.

That’s 9 points clear in an automatic promotion place if you take into account our superior goals difference.

Leeds United however are coming up like a steam train with 4 wins in their last 6 games and they won again today – 3-2 at Carrow Road to move into 6th place and we play them at Elland Road on 20th November in front of a sell-out crowd and that promises  to be some game.

Would have liked to have seen Bristol get an early lead. At least plenty of time left.

Jib – thought you said you lived in Spain. Did not realise the Spanish celebrated Guy Fawkes night.

Just seen the Brighton goal. Comedy – player takes a shot from half way line – keeper long way out – running backwards – trips up – ball in the back of the net.
