Agent – Mitrovic To Decide His Future Next Summer

22 year-old Serbian international Aleksandar Mitrovic is now back in form and has started for Newcastle in the last three games, since top goalscorer Dwight Gayle has had some trouble with his hamstring.

Dwight s now fully fit and was on the bench last Saturday against Cardiff.

In those three games Mitro has looked a good player and he’s scored 4 goals to take his total up to 5 goals in 10 appearances for the Magpies so far this season.

There has also been some news from Italy lately that Napoli want him in January to replace former striker Gonzalo Higuain, who was signed in the summer by Italian giants for fee of €90M (£78M) to be paid in installments.

His agent Jestrovic has been talking to CalcioNapoli24 about him possibly joining Naples:

“It is very unlikely at the moment.” “The only certainty right now is that he will end the season at Newcastle United.”

“There’s been absolutely no contact from Napoli.” “In the past, there was some contact, but for now it’s out of the question.”

“He will spend another six months in England, then well decide what to do with his future.”

Mitrovic has scored 14 goals in 46 games since signing on from Anderlecht in the summer of last year.

It seems rather strange there’s any doubt that he will simply be staying at Newcastle past next summer – when we are hopefully back in the Premier League.

He seems to love it on Tyneside, so the agent talking about him deciding his future next summer seems rather strange.

But there again perhaps he’s just trying to drum up some business for himself.

What do you think?

seen the earlier article about Judge and Horgan!
To be honest, whilst not being spectacular, they’d be good signings! Both have a really good attitude, Judge has been one of the better players in the championship for a few years and has a great delivery! Horgan reminds me a bit of McClean. Both work hard, and whilst not being elite level, I can see both being solid squad players at premier league level that will give 100% which is what we lacked in recent premier league campaigns

doesn’t seem strange to me ed! If mitro doesn’t displace Gayle and become our number 1 striker by the end of the season, what chance will he have in the premier league when Rafa hits the transfer market with a premier league budget?
I’d imagine when we’re promoted, a top level striker will be one of the first things we bring in! My guess will be it’ll be someone that runs the channels and gets in behind too rather than a mitrovic style target man! Wouldn’t shock me if they finally took Lacazette

I love Mitrovic, but he could be a big hit in Italian football, which is more suited to his rhythm and pace. He’s a gifted player, and English football is a madhouse, full throttle, and Napoli a massive club and city. It could happen.

If we bring in a top striker in the summer, it depends
whether he is a Gayle-type player or Mitro-type.

If it’s a target man, then Mitro may choose to move for
    regular games.
    Otherwise he wouldn’t move.
I don’t reckon he would move just for a salary increase.
Not yet, anyway, and not in the summer.

“He will spend another six months in England, then we’ll decide what to do with his future” Quote Mitro’s Agent

Note the use of the royal “‘we” – rather suggests that the Agent is doing his job in trying to earn more commission for himself out of beefing up Mitro’s salary at Newcastle

It’s only November and the pre-January and later transfer window non sense is starting.

A bit like xmas shopping – ba humbug

Bojan doesn’t seem happy with Stoke at the moment… I wonder if Hughes would be willing to part company with him to raise funds.

A trio of Ritchie, Bojan, Insigne/Depay behind the striker would do nicely.

Apparently Depay is on 90k a week, for a new 5 year deal I am sure he would take less.

http://www.football-italia.net/92666/insigne-wage-row-napoli Insigne is allegedly demanding 4.5 million Euros per year at Napoli – around £75k a week. More affordable, but a host of clubs would be chasing him.

Being linked with the likes of Darren Bent, Kone and Scott Sinclair isn’t going to cut it anymore. (I hope)

Mitrovic’s agent must be in need of some cash!
