Newcastle Unlikely To Sign This Transfer Target In January

We have been following the progress of Alan Judge of Brentford since August  and certainly his recovery from this broken leg has been slower than Brentford expected and news today coming out of West London is that he will only return to light training at the beginning of January.

It will take some considerable time from then to get Alan fully fit and be able to play competitive football again.

Alan Judge – Brentford play-maker

Newcastle opted out of signing Alan in late August and it seemed to be based on his slower than expected recovery from the serious injury he picked up playing at Ipswich last April.

We’d be very surprised if Newcastle now make a move to try to sign Judge in the January transfer window.

Alan would certainly provide some creativity in the Newcastle team which seems to decrease significantly when you take Jonjo Shelvey out of the line-up, which could happen if the FA misconduct charge is upheld.

Brentford have issued a statement on Alan’s medical status and it basically says that he continues to improve and they will again review his situation in early January, at which time they expect he could start light training.

We think Newcastle will want to be very confident that Alan has fully recovered from his injury before they bring him on board permanently to Newcastle.

Maybe that will now be in the summer rather than in January?

What do you think?

If you can get rid of all the usual suspects you will have a loveley agreeable bunch consisting of lesh and welshgeordie9 to enjoy your numerous foreign language links and exclusive footy training pics and then we can all enjoy the peace looking for a post every three hours.

Oh the joys of a peaceful blog waiting for a welshgeordie9 Charlie Austen “joke” or lesh telling Jib how great he is.

So jail, what exactly do you bring to the blog other than moan about the same people.

Hopefully that will put a stop to Ed’s weekly Alan Judge posts. Obviously it won’t, but one can always hope.

And regarding Ravel Morrison, let’s get him in and resign Nile Ranger. Pair them up in training and get Lee Bowyer and Keiron Dyer in to coach them. Stick them all inside a cage and charge the fans a small fee to watch their training sessions. It’ll be an entertaining extra on NUFC.tv

Lindisfarne – posted that a couple of days ago. I’m surprised Ed didn’t steal the link and post a story about it without giving any credit like he normally does 🙂

The funny thing is with booze is that unless you have to much of it it’s not as bad for your health as cr^p like Coca Cola or Pepsi which a lot of modern footballers probably drink by the gallon.

Huge celebration in order, the extremely tedious waste of time (international break) is at long last coming to an end.
Nice little fixture to kick the weekend off tomorrow night: Brighton v Villa.
Can sense a draw there myself!

The reports on Judge seem very good, but if we do get promoted, I can’t help but think that Rafa will go straight to top 8 type players from various locations, and with his prestige, we’ll probably get them. He won’t want to mess about.

I think he’ll go for the kinds of better players we’ve been after in the past, the Widjnaldum, Mitrovic, Sissoko types, but with greater care taken to ensure we have the sufficient quality, depth and cover we had so badly lacked.

This guy Judge or the Irish winger, would be bought first and foremost for the run in and to be part of the initial mix that would be added to and reshaped in the following window. We’ll have players who won’t be at the club beyond a full calendar year I imagine.
