Newcastle Player Knocked Out – Loses Four Teeth In Altercation

The Sun is reporting today that Newcastle’s leading goalscorer Dwight Gayle was punched and unconscious on the ground, during a night out in Liverpool last weekend to celebrate captain Jamaal Lascelles’ 23rd birthday, which was on Friday, 11th November.

It happened early last Sunday morning – 13th November (unlucky for some) – and Dwight apparently lost four teeth in the incident which happened at 4:00 am.

Dwight Gayle – Newcastle’s top goalscorer

The report is that the group had been drinking at several bars and clubs before the altercation, but it seems Dwight then started bragging about his £35K/week wages.

That was too much for one person part of the group – and he then  punched Gayle to the ground and the Newcastle striker suffered the loss of four teeth and was knocked unconscious.

This is what a source told The Sun:

“The night had started fine, but the champagne was flowing and things got out of hand.”

“One lad took exception to Dwight talking about his pay and took a swing at him. It was a real shock.”

“He hit him hard and, as Dwight went down, hit him again. He was out cold.”

“Everyone was in shock. Dwight was texting people the next day saying he’d lost four teeth. He was really angry.”

Merseyside Police said they were called to the scene, after they received a report of two men fighting – but when they arrived nobody was there.

Football players are in the public eye more than ever these days and are celebrities, so when they go out on a night out they have to be very careful about what happens.

And the bigger you get as a player the more dangerous it can become – just ask Wayne Rooney.

Apparently Dwight has already had his teeth fixed.

We’ll see if Gayle gets the start over Aleksandar Mitrovic tomorrow in what is a really important game at Leeds United.

Comments welcome.

“One of the group . . . ” was responsible.
    Happened back on the 13th.

Sounds like a cover-up to me.

Ha ha it appears the ones who want to forget about Pardew are the ones who constantly bring up the grave injustices of the Pardew Out Pogrom ( crowd, rabble etc)!

Let it go – it’s one of the symptoms of the disease that is killing this blog, along with the hypocrites who whine about bullies but then hound out anyone who pulls them up for their nonsense.

As for ex players who are looking to the future in management or coaching, it’s little wonder there’s precious little boat – rocking. They probably love McCardew because they let them do things their own way.

Thankfully we have a proper football man now, maybe these Apologists could quit their burbling and grining and just belt up at long last.

My final thoughts on Jib’s behavioural issues are that Mr. Tuff seems the best person to reel him in when he’s been particularly naughty. Although considered by some to be somewhat bizarre and outdated the threat of Mr. Tuff caning Jib’s buttocks definitely seems to have the desired effect.

Well there’s still no more football talk than usual. There’s a lot less humour. There’s still the same nitpicking. And there are less posters, not more as some suggested there would be in their great expose of the “Usual Suspects” . It is getting a bit clubby, like the Other Place and probably even the Other, Other Place. Shame really.

Tsunki……. We need you to make regular appearances to direct the humour in your inimitable style. Life is only what you make it and so is this blog. Positive contribution beats negative complaining every time.

Betty I’m on here less and less much to the relief of some. Or many 🙂 just recently I was randomly insulted by Jib. I don’t particularly need it tbh.

You guys obviously think that a serious injury to
(one of) our star striker in a drunken brawl at the
Club captain’s birthday celebration is not worth

And you wonder why there are not so many people
    on the Blog.

Tsunki……. Jib is Jib and shouldn’t be taken too seriously as I’m sure he’ll agree. I’m sure that if a poll was taken there are far more that would prefer your presence than otherwise. Lots of posters are becoming far too easily offended IMHO.

Sticks and stones and all that. I’m sure you’re more than capable of giving as good as you get in the banter dept.

Toonincheck…… . It is obviously a concern but the lack of details appears to suggest that they are looking to play it down.

Rich footballers mixing with working class lads , buying champagne and bragging about how much they earn can only be a recipe for trouble.

Mata’s goal celebration was not excessive.
Referee’s need to give their pompous heads a shake.
In theory someone could get a one match ban for celebrating 5 goals !

The reason there are not so many on the blog is that for so many, if there’s nothing to whine and twist about , they have nothing to say.

They’ve probably all moved over to Mackem blogs – if Sunlun beat Hull they’ll be back.

Victor Meldrew is alive and well and living in blogland.

I hope he managed to retrieve the teeth and put them under his pillow.

The tooth fairy would have been delighted with four.

there is a possibility that losing 4 teeth could knock his confidence. facts seem thin on the ground though.

    3pm Saturday here we go . . .

Whats with the Pardew nostalgia, surely the term Pardewed is the defining way a lot of us remember him.

He may have had a bad deal in many ways but he never seemed to get the best out of many of the players, some of whom have come on leaps and bounds under Rafa (all hail him) and that was also towards the end of last season before we feel through the trapdoor.

So who will get the striker nod for the Leeds game, the aggressive target man Mitro or the quick feet and toothless Gayle ( when I say toothless I do not mean that in a derogatory way lol ).

    Rotonda heights

There’s more to NUFC junior teams performing badly than good or bad coaching.

We have far more young players out on loan than the clubs they are playing.

    Kevin Mbabu 21
    Haris Vuckic 22
    Sammy Ameobi 24
    Adam Armstrong 19
    Ivan Toney 20
    Macaulay Gillesphey 21
    Alex Gilliead 20
    Tom Heardman 21
    Kyle Cameron 19
