Rafa After 2-0 Win At Leeds – We Have To Keep Going – Video

Here’s a video of Rafa’s Sky Sports interview after the great 2-0 win at Leeds United today that should play around the world.

It was good to get a really solid win and it’s classic Rafa – cool as a cucumber after 9 wins in a row – we have to keep doing it and approach every game with the same kind of mentality.

Keep the video on if you want to hear Garry Monk’s interview – he talks about the penalty he thought Leeds should have had.

Hey – it’s reasons or results – Rafa gets the results.

nah for me in this league it won’t matter so much he’s a cracking finisher where ever he is that first chance he had was heading for the back of the net from a difficult angle on his weaker foot and at least mitro would batter defenders for at least 70 mins allowing gayle to capitalise afterwards, tbh i just want to see it once if its an absolute failure then fair enough but 2 strikers wanting to play and score goals and are in form can’t be a bad thing either way lol

I do hope Green has been credited with the assist for the first goal. Can anybody else remember when he was considered a great keeper?

Nar mate Gayle doesn’t need the help he’s scoring goals for fun by himself so we don’t need Mitro starting imo

I don’t think we will see them start together bud

A couple of their players caught the eye. Taylor at left back looks solid defensively and got forward and put some good accurate crosses in. He’d be an upgrade on Dummett. Also Roofe looks very quick and incisive. League two player of the season and looks to be improving rapidly.

What I made of todays game – totally in control first twenty minutes sharp crisp quick passing then we seemed to slow the game down

Scored opportunist goal with ‘Gums’ Gayle

Then sat back and let Leeds back into the game with the TOON slowing the game down sideways backwards passing and to many silly free kicks – looked like panic stations at the end as Leeds pumped balls in the box.

Beginning of second half the same until Darlow’s game saving/changing save. From then on only one team going to win a we got back on the front foot and absolute superb worked second goal.

My MOM was Colback – one mistake when he did not clear the ball but was a superb foil for Shelvey in midfield – always available for the pass from Shelvey – allows Shelvey to play a lot further forward – got in some great blocks/ tackles great vision for trying to beat Green that led to first goal

I thought it was an easy win in the end. I expected much more from Leeds.

Thought Ritchie, goufran, Perez and shelvey were hardly in it.
Colback, the defence and obviously Gayle all had good games.

    All mockery aside
Aitor Karanka has built a canny side there in Smogland .
However I would laugh me cock off if he binned Boro to come and become Rafa’s assistant.
    😀

As I was consistently saying before the game to the many doubters who thought we’d lose or draw, have faith.

We are the best (easily) team, we have the best manager and the best squad.

Another win takes us to the halfway point for promotion.

Any of the teams trying to best that points total will have to perform out of their skins.

Manxpie I know you like to have a go but it’s realistic not negative. Colback is OK for the championship and that’s it. Name any top six prem team he would walk into. Then name any middle six.

Sitc – that’s this season, and how much time played, also last season if you look at his game it’s more about how they tie in with his game. He’s a sideways passer, high success rate average 18m pass (a cross field or back to defender/goalie. His yellows are rarely calculated, mostly badly judged, panicked and desperate. He’s a fine utility player in this league.

SITC, from previous thread. Yeah, just does the simple things. I said we look more solid with him at centre back.

He doesn’t get many plaudits on here but I thought Colback was magnificent today. Some of those second balls and his work rate were brilliant and I for one think he’s a big game player even if he has his limitations. Great win and I’m really interested in who Rafa will go for in the January transfer window?

tsunki colback would walk into many prem sides so would dummett who said anything about top 6?
we are far far away from top 6 ffs is that wat you are expecting when we go back up?
btw did you not see how we improved defensivly when dummet came back into the team at the end of last season in the prem or was that just a coincidence?
