Rafa Benitez has just completed his press conference for the game against Blackburn tomorrow at St. James’ Park and some of his comments are being reported on the Newcastle United Twitter account and in Chronicle Live.
It looks like both Jack Colback and former Blackburn player Grant Hanley will not be available for this game through injury.
Rafa Benitez at his press conference
These are some of Rafa’s initial comments.
“We are doing well, that is true, but before any game I send the same message – concentrate on the game and get three points.”
“We are doing a lot of good things, and you have to give credit to our players for that.”
“We have to be sure that we concentrate on Saturday, because these are the kind of game where you can make mistakes.”
“Colback has a problem with his eye – he will not be available – and Hanley has a problem with his shin.”
“Blackburn have a manager with experience, and he know what he has to do to win games.”
“We got the best from Stevie Gerrard at Liverpool. He was a leader and an example – you do not find many like that now.”
“It’s a shame our fans don’t have more tickets for Hull.” “That is my concern.”
Rafa’s so right about Steven Gerrard – he was always a great role model at Liverpool.
Comments welcome.

There is not a lot you can do when you don’t have all the information. Rafa likes to keep things close to his chest lmao.

I agree, if he was fit he would have been playing, after all that’s why we had him in out line – ups.

Maybe we can have a ‘moral’ 5 points if the rest is correct? No, didn’t think so!

I’ll not be greedy, I already have 10 points (I think), so you can have my ‘moral’ 5 points too, what are friends for.

As I’m not around in the morning here is the picture for the caption to decide this week’s, “Wit of the Week” I’m expecting a good entry and the winner will be announced on Sunday evening.

I’ll be very surprised if that isn’t the team team for the day but Yedlin and Diame could be the changes that bugg£r my selection.
Toon to win 3-1, I was going to put 6-0 but that’s being a bit silly.
Re Coyles comments earlier I think there was a hint of p!ssing into the wind about it.
