We’re Very Professional – Everyone Is Raring To Go

Jamaal Lascelles has turned out to be a very good captain for Newcastle and he has taken that responsibility as a young and fairly inexperienced player.

But he has done very well in both his role as the captain and his role as the anchor at the center of Newcastle’s resilient defense.

What a signing this lad has been from Nottingham Forest.

Jamaal Lascelles – impressive Newcastle captain

Jamaal has an excellent relationship with manager Rafa Benitez and this young 23 year-old can be some player for Newcastle in a couple of years time, when we could even be challenging near the top of the Premier League.

That’s the hope in any case.

Newcastle have won their last 9 games in a row but Jamaal – like his boss – is only interested in winning the game today and not about setting any records.

This is what he has said in the Chronicle:

“We don’t see it as nine in a row.”  “We just see it as ‘we need to get ready for the next game’.” “We don’t look at the teams around us. We can’t affect that.”

“We’re going to train as we normally do. We’re very professional. We look forward to training. By game day, we’ve got our game heads on. Everyone’s raring to go.”

A huge majority of Geordie fans expect us to win this game today – but we don’t think it’s going to be easy.

    Morning guys,

I was trying my best to get over for the game today but it was too pricey at such short notice unfortunately to get across from Belfast…

I’m sincerely hoping there is a broadcast online can anyone confirm if it will be on?

Jib I’m kind of calling you out for help as the blog Internet guru! ?

Cheers pal, if you are registered with nufc.Com do you get the free NUfc.Tv or do you need to register… I’ve had enough of the last minute scrambling this season to get any kind of glimpse or spoken word on our games on match day what with not being in the region and also being a complete technotard, I’ve got kid, but fat use that has been this season! Lol

    Unlike the PL

The EFL only allow one match on a Saturday 1500 to be broadcast

Today it’s Wolves v Sheff Wed available:-

Hoping for a win today, and also for us to give a send off to Mick Lowes. It would be great for us to get a song going for him.

Rafa made a comment about the quality of players on the bench and possibly changing the line up today. I think Mbemba needs a game and since Hanley isn’t playing will probably get a start. My prediction is..

    Yedlin – Lascelles – Mbemba – Dummett
    ————Hayden – Shelvey

Blackburn have quite a long injury list but I can’t see this influencing Rafa’s (all hail him) thinking.

But you never know he might just be tempted to make a few changes, he does like to surprise us.

Lesh, definitely mate. RIP Fidel Castle.

Anyhow, happy match day chaps. Gone for 4-0 on my super6 today. Anybody else do the super6? Bit of fun that makes the results even more interesting. Can’t wait for the game today. Be nice to break the record on a high, but any win will do. Winning ten on the bounce ain’t to be sniffed at by any club, let alone a wee club in the north east 🙂 Sold out our tickets and half of theirs. “Shall we sell some seats for you?!” 🙂 Should be a good party atmosphere that Blackburn needn’t even contemplate pooping. An early goal to settle the nerves and take it from there. Anyway, wherever you are watching from or listening to the game, I’ll raise a cheer on your behalf. Howay the lads!!!!
