This Could Be Rafa’s Starting Eleven For Hull City

Rafa will likely play his strongest side for the game tomorrow night against Hull City in the quarter-final of the EFL (League) Cup – a big chance for us to make the semifinals of a competition for the first time in eleven years.

Rafa could well play a team very like the one he started at Elland Road 9 days ago which did so well to win 2-0.

Mo Diame – could start against former club

This could be the team that Benitez starts tomorrow night:

Darlow
Anita Lascelles (c) Clark Dummett
Colback Shelvey
Ritchie Diame Gouffran
Ritchie

It could be that Rafa starts Matz Sels in goal, but being such an important game he could keep the in-form Karl Darlow between the sticks.

That’s the same side that started at Leeds with former Hull City player Mohamed Diame in the number 10 role in place of Ayoze Perez.

What would your team be for the Hull game?

Three in four fans think we can win this game.

Weekend match ratings has NUFC at 6.51 and Hull at 6.47. Dawson being their star player and Darlow ours. IMO it may come down to which goalkeeper has the best match, particularly covering direct free kicks in the case of our young keeper.

Rafa (all hail him) bingo almost the same as Ed’s but I’m only playing one of the Ritchie twins.

    Bingo team

    Darlow
    Anita Lascelles Clarke Dummett

    Colback Shelvey

    Ritchie Diame Gouffron

    Gayle

I think Perez will be back on the bench for this one.

It’s a shame our “old guard” experts and pundits aren’t anywhere near ripe enough to droop off somewhere else and go moldy.

I can’t believe that someone actually thinks that tbh.

It sounds bitter, like a manure/chelski fan who hated him whilst he was at Liverpool and still hates him now.

I’ve a feeling your bet is gonna to be safe as both scenarios are outrageous lol.

    On le sulk.

It actually made me laugh, then nod in agreement then laugh some more, then I remembered that video doing the rounds from the euros where he’s warming up, spots the camera and goes nuts.

    I laughed again.

It’s a shame that nobody has locked Dow that number 10 role. Diane and Perez haven’t been consistent enough I don’t think. They’ve done well in some games but very under par in others.

Getting back to the potential support for Gayle – cannot see Alan Judge being the answer. Maybe as a back up for Shelvey but not supporting Gayle.
Judge might be a decent footballer but he’s a short arse – 5′ 6″ tall -so anything up front is a big no in my opinion.

I think there’ll only be 3 ifs from what everybody is picking…..sels or darlow, anita or yedlin, hayden or colback….the rest pretty much seem to pick themselves at the minute.

It is not ‘deluded’ to think that we will win tonight, Hull are beatable, the biggest concern is our performance on Friday away at Forest…

Looking at our next 5 matches, I see four are away. Maybe that’s a good thing?
