52 year-old Nottingham Forest manager Philippe Montanier has given his press conference for the game against Newcastle United tomorrow night and he has spoken about Newcastle being a good team – the best in the Championship.
Compliments aside – we’ll have to wait and see how we do tomorrow night against an in-form Forest side who know how to score goals.
The Frenchman goes on to say that Rafa Benitez is a great manager and that he met him in Spain and they spent some time together.

This is some of what Philippe said at his press conference:
“We need points and we need to show that this team can reach this level.” “In the Championship we started the season with two managers who had won the Champions League.”
“It is only in England where you can see that.” “There are great clubs in this division, which make it very tough for everyone.”
“And Newcastle are the best team in the Championship, they have the best attack and one of the best defenses. They have won a lot of games and are a good team with a great manager.”
“I met him three or four years ago during a managers’ conference in Spain. After the conference we spent a little time together.”
“It is very important to have communication like that, with one of the top managers in Europe. It was a good memory for me.”
Montanier was appointed the Nottingham Forest manager in June of this year after managing Rennes for three years.
