Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In Tragic Loss?

It was a crazy game tonight at the City Ground but the bottom line is that we lost our 3rd game in a row in just six games and our second successive league defeat.

Rafa said things can change quickly in the Championship and he’;s right and we could be second top of the league tomorrow if Brighton beat Cardiff City.

But now we have Jonjo Shelvey and Paul Dummett suspended for three games and with Shelvey’s FA charge being heard in the week of December 19th he could miss at least the next eight games!

when u see it again, shelvey misses with the kick out…or slightly brushes him at worst….lansbury stops…looks at shelvey puts hands up to his face first then as he falls back holds stomach….that alone should convince the f.a its wrong…but they wont look at that, theyll look at shelvey kicking out thats it…….its a joke man.

i’m not saying he had a great game but to be in 2 positions at once is impossible
the penalty wasn’t his ball either tbf it should have been headed away
and the others there was defo a reason he was so far across as it was every time could be wrong but he was marking the mid iit was gouff who should be tracking the rb

springy for me if i had been kicked in the air even on the most powerful anti depressant in the world i’d find it hard not to react and then to have it against you is shocking
it’s amazing how the ref or linesman didn’t see that but some how the linesman seen through many many bodies seen him take the kernts head off is the most ridiculous i have seen tbh

In my eyes both cards should be recinded – If not should Lansbury get a ban for simulation??

Me to not sure on the double jeopardy rule

MOM all 13 ed for putting up the shit thrown at them tonight.

    FROM ADVERSITY COMES TRIUMPH!!!!!!!!!

What an absolute joke that was. Appalling refereeing. Lansbury is a right con artist.

He kicked into Shelvey from behind before he prodded at Lansbury. Rafa was right, Shelvey shouldn’t have reacted, but Lansbury knew exactly what he was doing. Looked like something from WWE with the over-acting.

For the second pen, he was already heading to the floor before Pat Cash barely bundled into him.

Nothing at all wrong with a blatant goal from Clark, and that was a stone wall penalty on him when wrestled and hauled to the ground.

Handball could easily have been given as well.

On a plus note, we looked better than them with 11 v 11 than they did against 9 men. That can only reflect well on the lads.

Rafa’s interview gave spot on analysis.

Highly annoying game, but I don’t think it was a bad performance considering we dominated before getting the two sent off, and still did well enough.

posada – agree about Diame – I championed his entry into the game -he is fit and will run and harry all day.
Couple of minutes in he stopped running.

Can only be still knackered from Tuesday night.

Rafa got this week wrong in my opinion (voice it is my opinion -ok).

what makes 2nyt even more laughable was the wrestling body slam on clark, blantant pen, then clark runs next to a forest defender scores a headed goal and its disallowed, for what could be only described as a light fart of a touch compared to wrestling move earlier…..ridiculous ref.

i get great comfort in knowing that lansbury’s embarrassing antics and the referees woeful performance were screened across the world on sky sports, and even the sky pundits were baffled. twitter knows it too.

re shelvey: I think it was a red, but it shouldn’t have been a penalty as he was clearly fouled beforehand, and so the ball shouldn’t technically have been ‘in play’. The linesman clearly went off of lansbury’s reaction though.

shelvey needs to learn. he’ll be out until mid jan now because he’ll no doubt be given 8 matches (to include the other charge he’s under). at least for the first time in a decade we actually have cover- completely forgot we even still had the likes of tiote

The Ref is thicker than he looks.
That’s bad news cos in this photo he looks really thick.
