Spoof – my Internet has been shit in the last couple of months.Got wifi today somewhere to make a cameo appearance but it also turns out to be shit.So I’m unable to reply properly.I don’t know much about the squad to comment further but expect Colback to step up and up his game in the abscence of Shelvey.
    Enjoy your weekend.

    re post
IF Rafa ever decides to play 4/4/2 which i doubt
Murphy must come into the equation as Gayles strike partner he’s been proved more than capable in this league not a prolific scorer but a master at leading the line with Gayle playing as a old fashioned number 10 it could work

As for sissoko playing well under rafa..true, But there was euros in the summer so he was way more motivated than now.. As for mitro.. Keep him.. But if hes unhappy send him on loan to West Ham for 6 months..

Some earlier comments about Diame being ponderous and less than capable of defending on Friday night. Definitely helped their attack on the left side where the goals ultimately came from. Really should have been 1-1 . Don’t know who else Rafa could have put on but we needed energy at the end not a less than mobile midfielder lacking confidence. I wonder if Diames number will be up on January ?

The FA will be under some scrutiny now – let’s see how they deal with all the mayhem from over the weekend .
Retrospectively they have Lansbury, Luis and other Chrlsea players to award Oscars to. Dummets card to rescind. Three officials from Friday night to ban from football officiating.
Followed by two Preston players fighting – will they get the same ban as Dyer and co did ?
Then Agueto and his mate for violent conduct and Fabregas for slapping.
Are they capable of actually dealing with all the incidents?
If they don’t they are confirmed as useless and irrelevant and even open to criticism of worse than incompetent.

We have 5 games before the winter window opens (including a return fixture with Forest)
Rafa being a practical man will already have Charnley chasing targets and doing the goundwork.

The pre-window games without Shelvey remain problematic if Rafa wants to maintain his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation.

I would guess this week he will be giving several players that he has in mind an opportunity to show what they can do in the midfield distributor róle.

Looking at our current midfielders no candidate stands out.

My feeling is that, although he’s always thought of as winger, Matt Ritchie could do a job.

Maybe Bobbybee knows of one of the youn’uns who has brilliant eye for a pass who could step up to the plate ?

I’m still getting over the result (the diabolical referee really) after watching it on tv so why would I want to watch it again ed?

Somethings are just better left alone, especially those somethings where you get well and truly shafted, dry.

Diame was the obvious choice as a late sub the other night – when legs were tiring.
    He’ll run all day.
Unfortunately after he came on he was sluggish and was not his normal self.
Clearly he had not recovered from Tuesday night.

Benitez has the measure of this league but unfortunately the call of the cup cocked things up.
The only positive last week was the fight and collectiveness of Friday night.
Need to forget last week – bad week – and get back to grinding the league opposition down.

I bet there’s not six changes for the league team ahead of the FA cup fixture.
Need to play best eleven in the league and use “squad” players in the cup – otherwise we’ll end up having another week like last week.

Hibbit – no problems booing him off the park -as long as there is no foul abuse.
He tricked the officials on Friday night without a doubt and should get done for simulation.

When you see the second incident – he clearly and deliberately stopped/put the brakes on as Dummett approached and left his leg trailing.
Thought it might have been highlighted on the C5 Programme — not even mentioned -crap show -crap guests and crap analysis of incidents.

Also before the Shelvey incident you can see him using one of his legs like a scythe on Shelvey.

lochinvar – in addition to the slap -would have thought that when Fabregas booted the ball at the player on the ground – – it would clearly be violent conduct – and a red.
The only thing the FA have been adept at over recent years was appointing dolly birds as secretaries – not because of their secretarial skills – but so they could poke them.

Diame was rubbish when he came on. Looked absolutely lost, hope he can be moved on in Jan. Must buy a creative midfield player as Shelvey is a liability someone like Charlie Adam at Stoke. must get another forward in as Mitrovic looks lost and Perez is woeful at the moment.

Diame wont be moved on in Jan and nor should he imo hes had a average NUFC career so far but not bad (was very good against Hull and ran himself into the ground) hes also playing a role thats not his natural one clearly

And I dont think we will get another striker in Jan we already have two performing well this season and a proven goal scorer in this league not able to make the bench most games

A winger and a CAM is what we need but its hard to get the right type either stop gap or one for the PL

Goibg back to what i said in the summer, i dont think mitro or Arma will make it under rafa. They are not the type of strong mobile striker that can be played in a 4231 and rafa is too inflexible to play 442 at home even though it wouks suit us, when. Shelvey is available anyway. Wud be sad to see mitro go, but assuming we go up, mire than half this team will go anyway.

    Wonder what is Diame’s position?
Wingers, no more please at a pinch Yeldin could play that role very well. Too many wingers are inconsistent and can flatter for a while then fade out of games completely.

And we play a system with wingers and have little quality there. Yedlin is a RB
