Like any Newcastle fan today Alan Shearer seemed delighted with a very good performance and a 4-0 win against Birmingham City that put us back on top of the Championship one point above Brighton.
Reading had a good 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday so stay in 3rd place 6 points behind Newcastle.
Toon toon black & white army. #backtothetop @nufc. Well done @dwightgayle ???????????????

Hes just a goal scorer and a work horse, hes great haha if hes fit he starts imo no question. Must admit I find utterly confusing how Mitro gets such praise compared to Gayle
On another note Pep’s City 2 nil down after 5 minutes haha not having too much luck these days and he wants to be able to use more subs apparently…whats the bet he complains about no winter break

Comment #9Jail, Reading are you you roll and are well capable of a top 2 finish. Brighton had an indifferent August, with a definite hangover from last May, and are still below par yet still picking up points. We have lost any aura of invincibility we might have had. Currently perm any two from three. It will be a lot clearer at the end of the January sales.

Comment #11Looks like playing 3 at the back isn’t such a good idea against Leicester.
