Sky Sports Pundit Predicts Wigan Newcastle Result

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted the mid-week games in the Championship with nine of those games being played tonight and three games tomorrow, which includes Newcastle’s game at Wigan, who are second bottom of the league at the moment.

We should expect to win this game tomorrow, but we cannot be sure until our lads turn up and play at or near their best at the DW Stadium – we’ve already have had too many sunrises this season in games we were expected to win.

.

David Prutton – predicts 3-0 win for Magpies

Here’s what David has said about the game:

“Newcastle are flying while things are getting tougher for Wigan, who haven’t scored in their last four home league games.” “

“That could be five after this one as Newcastle are so solid on the road.”

“They’ve won 22 points away this season – a joint-high away points haul in the top four divisions with Scunthorpe.”

“And conceded just five goals on the road.”

Prutton predicts a 3-0 win for Newcastle and we would be very happy if he’s right on that.

🙂

Put us down for a draw at the start of the season, so sticking with that…..while we keep winning, hate to rock the boat now.

Possibly for the best that Lansbury is missing, means the players wont do anything stupid to get revenge and we can concentrate more of the match- thats not to say i wouldnt have appreciated someone reducing him in the first 5 mins but the result is what matters.

On Lascelles, i dont think he would go anywhere where he wouldnt be a first choice, eepcially being captain in the PL most likely next season.

But if Klopp came calling saying he would be first choice there, that would be a tough one to turn down, especially for a non-geordie who has only been with us for 2 seasons. Honestly wouldnt begrudge him that as Klopp will have Liverpool in the CL soon, if not next season and who wouldnt want to play for him.

hibbit @8 – Even if Lansbury had not got this injury I still think he would not have played at SJP – he would have got a convenient groin strain just before the game.

Each to their own, for me Klopp would be a bigger draw to play for but he is my favourite manager/coach out there at the mo.

Not saying anyhing bad about abenitez as we are lucky to have him, just Klopp would be up there with Kk for motivating and passion.

Under the circumstances I don’t think another manager in the world could have came in and had the effect Rafa had and despite what that shower down the road (and a few on here) say about him not being anle to save us

where as Di Canio, Poyet and Advocaat saved them, those managers weren’t hampered with a core group of players who seemingly were trying to get them relegated and had no desire and absolutely zero interest in the club, how he almost pulled it off is still a fantastic acheivement.

I still maintain the fixture list was unkind as well, a first game away at runaway league leaders Leicester then a 5under1and team who we had lost the last six to which in it self created a huge physcological barrier. Away to Soton where we had been previously humiliated our “stars” were so poor our future captain had a punch thrown at him for speaking his mind. Rafa took the blame for the set up against Villa, was it his fault that Colback just decided he fancied the day off that day, he should have mentioned it BEFORE the game, was it tge managers fault that every pass was hit three foot too high and six foot wide, the players who were far used to losing bottled it and by the time Rafa put his stamp on it was too late.

Ok, so lets put my foot in my mouth moment. I don’t know why but I have this weird feeling that Newcastle are going to have a big win Wednesday. I’m wondering if this Wednesday will be a QPR night again. Maybe its the Christmas Spirit getting hold of me but I cant shake off a big win.

    Jib,
It is comments like yours @26 that have had a major part in the downfall of this blog. From when you first posted as the racist homophobic bully Jeff from Benwell targeting the anti aAshley posters you didn’t like, not to engage in debate as to why Ashley was good for the club but simply to abuse and cat call and generally bring the blog down, you got banned and just came back with a watered down more restrained version, you are a cretin and the nlog would be a better place without you.

JC did actually save us although more by luck , we were lower mid table before he took over and he almost took us down … luckily results elsewhere and a supershow by gutierez saved us – McClaren finished the job JC never managed by relegating us

Your man Klopp has, until recently with results going very much in his favour, appeared as the epitome of geniality and good humour.
Just recently, however, following a couple of not no good results and criticism of his chosen goalie, we’ve started to see a different side to Mr.Klopp.
Hopefully this is just a blip, as the critics over here are waiting to jump on any perceived failing. It would be sad if cheerful Charlie Klopp turned into mournful moaning Mourhino.
As for who is the better manager, Klopp or Benitez, it’s a close call, but
I’d say Benitez might have the edge at the moment.

On a different note I saw the Bolton game last night, Sameobi had his usual game , looked amazingly skilful for a bit then went missing then played a blinding 2 min spell then missing – this went on the whole game although he scored a cracker late on
He looks way too good for that league but no consistency ( even in 90 mins) – seems they want to keep him at Bolton so hopefully they’ll sort their ownership/money issues out and give him a contract – good luck to the lad
