Rafa did it at his press conference for the game tomorrow night at home to Sheffield Wednesday and just in case anybody missed it, he has issued a Christmas message in the Chronicle today wishing staff, players and fans good health going forward – as Newcastle continue at the top of the Championship.
Rafa is obviously happy when he sees fans in Newcastle so happy with what has been happening this season with the club reaching the quarter finals of the League Cup and winning 16 of our 22 games in the league so far.
Rafa Benitez – Newcastle manager
It seems the good times are back again at the club.
This is what Rafa Benitez has told the Chronicle:
“There is a message I would like to send out to fans this Christmas.”
“Everyone associated with the club is happy at the moment and that is really good for everyone.”
“Hopefully everyone – staff, players and fans – will have good health going forward; that is the main thing, to be sure that we are fine and that is my message.”
“If we are healthy then we can keep doing our job and do well.”
“Then I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
“Hopefully we will keep winning games in 2017 and then the fans will appreciate that.”
It’s been like living in a different world since Rafa came to the club and the man has made such a huge difference it’s just so amazing.
Long may Rafa continue at Newcastle United and if we do get promoted we’d like the club – Mike Ashley and Lee Charnley – to offer Rafa a new improved contract that will keep him at the club for the next ten years.
Then we can really look forward to more great things ahead for Newcastle United.
