Benitez – I See Someone Coming In During January Window

Newcastle manager is asking for patience in this January transfer window  mainly because he doesn’t see anybody arriving early in the window and certainly not tomorrow – January 1st – the first day of the transfer window.

That’s a pity.

Rafa has been interviewed in the Chronicle today and he was asked about the upcoming transfer window.

Rafa Benitez – Newcastle manager – no early transfers

Rafa says that the club have already tried a couple of things but no early signings for Newcastle it seems.

Rafa is trying to get in a play-maker, winger and striker in the window, but he will only bring top players in that can also play in the Premier League and if he cannot get the right players he’s not going to waste money on lower level players, which has been done in the past at Newcastle.

This is what Rafa has said today in the Chronicle:

“I don’t see anything early because we tried a couple of things.”

“Normally all of the teams are trying to do something so the agents wait a little bit and expect the best offer possible.”

“I think we will see someone coming in, but I can’t say it will be on January 1.”

Maybe one of the things they tried was to get an early decision on Chelsea’s young midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but manager Antonio Conte doesn’t want to make a quick decision on the loan and would prefer the 20 year-old to go out on loan to a Premier League club – if at all possible.

We hope we can get at least a couple of good players in the January window to help with our promotion drive,

Comments welcome.

I dont want NUFC to be the first to sign a player in January all I want is NUFC to sign the best player in January.

I hope we sign the right player. In Rafa we trust. Happy New Year all bloggers and promotion is my only wish for 2017.
