Strange Report On Newcastle Transfer Target

There’s a strange report in the Mail that Newcastle are interested in signing Manchester City’s England goalkeeper Joe Hart this summer.

Hart has no future at Manchester City under new manager Pep Guardiola, who brought in Chilean International goalkeeper Claudio Bravo to replace Joe in the summer.

The report is that Hart will be allowed to leave City next summer, so that’s fairly obvious that’s going to happen.

Joe Hart – on loan at Torino

Joe is currently on loan at Italian club Torino for the season where he has been playing well.

What is unusual is the Mail reports that Everton, Chelsea, West Ham and Newcastle are interested in signing the goalkeeper.

But with Karl Darlow playing so well this season and Rob Elliot on his way back to full fitness, we seem to be well stocked in the goalkeeper department, so it would be strange if this report is true.

But first things first and before Newcastle will be going after some big players this summer we have to get promoted back to the Premier League.

And that job isn’t done yet with Newcastle having lost two of our last three games in the Championship with the shock 1-0 defeat at Blackburn yesterday.

Some of us are still getting over that result this morning.

Joe has played 348 times for Manchester City and 68 times for England and is currently the England number one goalkeeper.

    No need.
Surely groundless speculation. We surely have our hands full looking elsewhere for what we do need.

Maybe Darlow or Elliot have dandruff problems.

It’s like the old days, when we used to be added on the end of any list of prospective suitors for any available player, ever, to sell copies. Why Hart would come to the Championship is the obvious question…

Bit late but happy new year to all the blog contributors and global nufc fans.
We will be linked with any player who is either allowed to talk to teams about a move or on the last year of their contract.
Lazy unfounded journalism ,pure speculation , but it shows the press have more confidence in our promotion back to the Prem than a lot of our own fans.
Imho, blacburn did to us what we did to spurs a few year ago, Tim Krul got us the 3 points that day, Steel got Blackburn their points yesterday by stopping our goal threats with some marvelous saves and blocks, their defence was last ditch and at times very lucky but held up.
We huffed and puffed and on another day would have won that game 3 or 4 nil.
Colback was at fault for the free kick ,Rafa at fault for not changing it earlier, it was crying out for someone to take players on to creat space for others , Ritchie had a poor game again , without the threat of Shelvey we looked devoid of ideas, sideways and back to draw oit the opposition wont work vs teams who only defend so its pointless playing 2 dm ,we need to find a way of having more goal threat , playing Hayden and Colback as dm dont work, hopefully Diame Atsu and Lazar being away will force a new way of playing , less defensive , more goal threat forces teams back and relieves pressure on your defence, Rafa will get it right, either by getting players in or slight changes in formation, the cup game vs brum will i hope be an ideal testing ground , perez has been poor since his brother went north but hopefully he can be the player we had and soon.
