Report – Brighton To Beat Newcastle To Loftus-Cheek

It seems that Brighton may have surged ahead of Newcastle and now could be in the lead to take 20 year-old Chelsea midfield player Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan through the end of the season.

Newcastle have already got their loan bid in, but there’s news coming through that Brighton seem confident of beating Newcastle to the player and that could be a blow to Newcastle.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek – on his way to Brighton?

Chronicle chief sports reporter  Lee Ryder has put this out on his Twitter account after the Mirror had reported the news earlier today.

In contrast to Lee Ryder the local Argus reporter Andy Naylor has said the Argus paper han’t done anything on the story.

The Mirror have reported that Chris Hughton was poised to beat a number of clubs to the loan signing of Loftus-Cheek, including Newcastle.

The report is the Chelsea manager is now willing to allow his player to go on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion with West Ham also being keen to get the player in, but they are saying that Brighton will do the deal.

That would be an embarrassing blow to Newcastle United.

Can we really be concerned on whether we do or dont get a player … when none of us probably know nothing about him.
According to Conte, he will only go to a club that will give him playing time for the rest of the season. So I don’t see us dropping Shelvey or Hayden for this youngster

If Loftus-Cheek goes to Brighton then so be it. It would have more to do with the close proximity to his home life in London and Brighton is just a trip down the road to the seaside.
Don’t know if he lives with family or partner but either way he may not be ready yet for the big adventure that is Newcastle United.

Does this mean we can get Knockheart ?

Not surprised really although you have got to admit we are losing out to team that’s playing great football under a manager that’s basically hasn’t won any major trophies, quite embarrassing really.

Did I really just see Jib call someone a ‘mongoloid’ on the last thread? That’s absolutely disgusting. My little sister had Downs and I hate that word more than you can imagine. I’ll never forget you saying that. Why the hell would someone who claims to be a grown man use a word like that? Why did you say that Jib? Seriously.

I tell you what, that 5 million price tag that charnley and co baulked at for Alli doesn’t look so stupid now. We dodged a bullet there. Credit where credit is due to our wonderful leaders.

It’s bizarre the UK doesn’t link its major cities by high speed rail. We’d be quids in for top players immediately. I caught the Maglev train from Shanghai Airport to the city recently. The 30 km journey took 7 mins and reached a speed of 430 kms an hour, and would travel between Newcastle and London in well under an hour.

Id rather have Benny or Boudebouz, RLC hardly played either and is relatively untried in the play-maker role.Someone whocan beat a man or two (or 5 if its Benny) will be invaluable in this league.
Come on Rafa, take benny under your wing and lets fly.

Yeah, for a side of such relatively less collective value, their form over the last 3 months is quite incredible, and if you accept the argument that playing twice a week in such a physical and competitive division must eventually catch up with you, then they are well past due a dip in results.
