Benitez’ Update On Mitro Injury – Reflects On Draw

Rafa has said it was a cut that Mitrovic received on his knee and that the lad has been taken to the hospital and the doctor is with him.

The manager says we’ll just have to wait and see how bad the injury to the Serbian International is.

Rafa thought the absence of Mitro so early on had a negative impact on the game and that we had control of the game early on but we lost control – which has not been unusual over the last few games.

Aleksandar Mitrovic receiving treatment

This is what Rafa said after the game:

“It was a cut.” “He went to hospital. It was obviously not very good, because we had to substitute him straight away.”  “We will see how long he is out.”

“We have to wait.” “He’s been to hospital and he’ll come back then we’ll see.”  “It depends on the doctor.”

“We will see how he is, but we were thinking before and it is the same situation.” “For him it is a blow.”

“Hopefully, he will be fine, but in terms of the transfer window, we were not considering anything and hopefully it will be the same.”

“To lose Mitrovic meant something.” “Not ideal but at least we are still in the draw.”

“We had the control and we were dominant then we started giving them the chance to pass the ball and lost control.”

“When you have players who haven’t played for a while the tempo and intensity was not easy.”

“We had to make substitutions but the first one changed it for us.”

From what I heard on the radio Murphy as MOM seems about right.

Just wondering why so many votes for Mitro?

No true Newcastle fans would make stupid comments about any Newcastle player getting injured, thank god most Newcastle fans are the best and most loyal in the land, but a tiny amount are just full of hot air, and if they had brains they would be dangerous. HWTL.

I said mixing it up today would go one of two ways, and we got option a. – hardly cohesive and struggling. The Rafa beaters got their wish today. Happy now?

Let’s see what the outcome is from the trip to hospital .. maybe Mitro was light headed at the sight of blood 🙂
Not ideal today , another game added to the diary although better to still be in the cup than out and I reckon we’ll beat brum no problem at home … albeit I said same against Blackburn and Sheffield weds

Some right idiots on here and none more than the resident racist Jib aka Jeff from Benwell.

Depending where the “cut” is it could case use anyone an issue, I remember getting a cut not long…..more like a massive gash just above my knee, prevented me from bending my knee, the gash required staples and 8 stitches and was very deep. Not a nice sight when I could almost see my knee cap!!

Before commenting take on board all the information when given, as for mitro he’s been concussed before and argued to come back on the pitch not such a soft person (not serb as the blog racist puts it as its irrelevant where he’s from)

To all true and loyal Newcastle supporters, wouldnt it be great if some of the brain dead toe rags would find another club to support, we really dont need these air heads coming on here with thier discusting comments about any Newcastle player getting injured and having to go to hospital, we all know who they are, and we all know they are not true Newcastle fans, they probably lead a very sad life, to be honest they are just a waste of space. HWTL.

Hey Jib, I thought you were good at this –

    http://www.lubasmedical.com/news/post/oxygen_therapy_sports_trauma_management

All seriously traumatised players, Head injury, Spinal injury, Chest injury, Unconsciousness, serious bleeding etc. should be given high flow oxygen as an initial, on field treatment.

Well said in length before the game that until we address the lack of options in midfield and get another winger in we’ll struggle when losing players like Shelvey Diame Atsu

Toothless with them lads missing unfortunately
