Fans React To Terrible Mitro Injury And Tame Draw

Newcastle fans took to Twitter after the rather tame 1-1 draw at St. Andrew’s today where newcatsle were good in the first 20 minutes but then once again tailed off and we were lucky not to lose this game .

Jutkiewicz headed wide when he had a great chance with just eight minutes to play so it could have been worse and we do still have a decent chance to get through to the next round – and Jonjo Shelvey will be available too.

Some of the boo boys are coming out because once again Newcastle looked a little lackluster especially in the second half but hey – let’s keep right behind Rafa and the players – let’s not make things worse than they really are.

Great to see Daryl scoring for Newcastle – he can score goals for us this season.

Daryl Murphy scores after just 5 minutes

Better FA Cup 3rd round result for #NUFC than in many recent years!

Hope Mitro is back soon or another striker is needed. #InRafaWeTrust

Sounds like a mediocre game and lack lustre performance with Mitro injured and a replay to boot.
Meanwhile Brighton win and have no replay.

Injection of new players to boost squad and performances clearly needed

Does the replay mean shelvey will miss a cup game instead of a league match? I’d have taken a draw and replay before the game today. Bad news for mitro but hopefully we don’t sign utter shite in this window.

Also means any fixture rearranged gives more of a chance to the afcon lads to return

Jib Jibberish – you earlier stated goodbye in French (au revoir) to Matz Sels.
Not appropriate as Sels comes from the area of Belgium where Dutch is the first language and indeed he speaks Dutch.

Hope Mitrovic is alright, not going to comment on the game, don’t want to get in to trouble this evening.

You will not be able to stay home, mate.
You will not be able to plug in, turn on Sky Sports and chill out.
You will not be able to lose yourself in a takeaway and
skip out for a Broon during commercials,
Because the Rafalution will not be televised.

    (with apologies to Gil Scott-Heron)
