Rafa Benitez Completely Changes Fans’ Perception Of Newcastle

The results of the Chronicle’s annual Toon Survey are in and Rafa Benitez seems to have completely changed the views of lots of Newcastle fans for the better over the last eight months – since he joined us last March.

A massive 80% are very happy with Rafa Benitez as the Newcastle manager and results like this have never been seen in this poll before.

As an example last year with the hapless Steve McClaren in charge only 0.55% were very happy with him as the Newcastle manager.

Rafa Benitez – very popular Newcastle manager

Here are the main results the Chronicle has published today and we’ve put them in pie charts.

The orange segment above is – “Was unhappy but after he persuaded Rafa to stay, I’ll give him a chance.”

Over 75% are content with Mike Ashley as the Newcastle owner.

So only 15.7% want Mike Ashley to leave as the Newcastle owner – amazing.

Rafa has certianly changed things around big time – now we have to beat Brentford on Saturday!

What do you think of these results?

Of course a lot of supporters of other clubs also voted in these polls. Not very reliable.

Not that I am unhappy with things, however, I feel the number of malcontents etc will be very misleading.

Ashley is now allowing Benitez and Charnley to run the club as a football club.
That’s more than a Chinese consortium would do so be thankful for small mercies.

I stll don’t trust Mike Ashley as far as I can throw Russia, and I living in fear of the wheels falling off in spectaculour fashion at any moment, however I am currently happy with the direction the club is going, and hope it continues for a very long time.

Ashley must be clapping his hands at the poll results – particularly in relation to fans’ perception of him.

As long as he doesn’t think he revert to his previous ways, he has fans’ reserved support.

Rafa must be the best appointment he’s ever made and we all hope Rafa continues to be able to run the football side of things and have major input into decision making, that’s fine by me.

Absolutely nothing, it’s just he’s made a sensible appointment for the first time

See Mike it’s easy when you pick managers on merit and not how much they owe you
