Fotomac are reporting today that Turkish side Besiktas are interested in signing Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Turkish club are said to be looking for a striker in the January transfer window and Fotomac are claiming the 22 year-old Newcastle striker could shortly be on his way to the Istanbul club.

The report is that the Besiktas manager Senol Gunes needs to see Aleksandar playing before he can give an opinion on the Serbian International.
That seems really strange the club wants to sign the striker but the manager hasn’t seem him playing – has he not watched Mitrovic play for Serbia or Newcastle over the last year or so?
The report seems dubious at best, with Besiktas reported to be planning to give Mitrovic a six months deal initially.
There’s just no way Newcastle will let Aleksandar leave this January and this report seems as strange as the Turkish report in Fanatik saying that Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir want to sign Cristian Atsu on loan.
That seems strange given he is already on a season-long loan deal to Newcastle.
Take this report with another pinch of salt.
Rafa Benitez has said today in his press conference the striker could be back in a matter of weeks from the deep gash he suffered in his knee last Saturday at Birmingham City.
