Alan Shearer Delighted For Newcastle

Alan Shearer took to Twitter immediately after Newcastle’s very hard-fought 2-1 win at Brentford this afternoon and it was exactly the result we needed and it put us back on top of the league again with Brighton surprisingly losing 2-0 at Preston.

A great result and the lads fought all the way – love it!

Can’t understand how anyone could be unhappy with that game today. A win is a win. Doesn’t matter if we were lucky. Doesn’t matter if we played badly. Doesn’t matter if we were up against an inferior team. We won’t remember the ugly games at the end of the season, just that we got the three points.

Really hoping Gayle’s injury isn’t a bad one, but Rafa has the chance to find a replacement if needed with the window being open (although that doesn’t mean he’ll be able to). The SMBs losing just made the weekend even brighter!

Hamstring for Gayle? Could be serious. If we can’t get a decent replacement maybe Armstrong needs to come back from loan?

Well said chancel. 3 points is all that matters. We won and are top again. HWTL.

    Great three points today.
Hope our players aren’t too badly injured.

If gayles knackered I’d have a punt at behrahino, similar player but faster. With his contract running out they won’t get anywhere near 20mill for him.
Appreciate his fitness issues but worth a punt imo.

Ha ha ha ha! The very last fans in the world who can chant ‘your support is, er, not very good’ are Villa. A so called big club who had to shut half their ground until they started winning again have embarrassed themselves and will never live that down. Not whilst I’m still around to keep reminding them anyway. 🙂

Daily mail reporting we may be back in for Andro Townsend, now he would be a good signing. Prefer a loan first bearing in mind the poor season he has had at CP.

Noticed that Ashley and Lee Carney was at the match, hopefully some movement in the transfer market now, esp with the 3 injuries we have got.
