This Man Could Become The New Hero At Newcastle

33-year-old Daryl Murphy got his second goal in as many games for newcatsle and the striker seems deadly in the ait and it will be Daryl who will come in to replace Dwight Gayle who will be out for a few games – exactly how many we don’t know.

But Aleksandar Mitrovic is also out injured at the moment, so Daryl will get a few starts and if he can keep scoring like he has in the last couple of games he could become the new hero on Tyneside.

Certainly Rafa has always praised both Daryl’s experience and his professionalism while he’s been at the club and he hasn’t played too many games.

Daryl Murphy heads home the winner at Brentford

Rafa says he’s delighted for the Irishman as the manager sadi this to the local press after the match this afternoon:

“For somebody who has so much experience at 33 in this division, he was always a very good example for the others. He was very professional.”

“Everybody praised him last week because of the way he scored the goal and the way he worked.”

“We watch him in training every day and his attitude has been perfect.”  “He has been training really well.”

“I am really pleased for him and the team. When you have such a professional and somebody who has possibilities to score, you are even happier for him.”

We have to remember Daryl has played for the last five seasons in the Championship for Ipswich Town and in the 2014-2015 season he scored 27 goals in 48 appearances and last season he scored 10 goals in 27 appearances so he knows where the net is.

And today’s match-winner was a perfect cross from Ayoze Perez from the left that was brilliantly headed home by Daryl.

Lete’s hope the lads practice getting those crosses into the box next week in training.

    WW…,
I ‘debated’ strongly when we signed him that it was a brilliant signing as who else would sit on the bench behind Mitro and Gayle and still apply himself, I did sugest Nugent but why would he give up his chance at PL football, but I think I saw him sign for a Championship club the other day.

In view of what happened at Swansea do you have any cheap American Football kit or cheerleader kit you want to sell.

I wouldn’t buy anything from the Swans shop, why waste money, deserve to go down, next season should be interesting though against Cardiff home and away.

Gayle must be worth 15 – 20 million in this market. Stunning strike, and far from his first like that for us this season.

Sorry you couldn’t get the gist of my post (two threads back) about Sissoko, Cabaye being on the loyalty panel with Owen.

Would it help if I reminded you that you posted a comment about the post-Chelsea match discussion being about loyalty and possibly Costa?

By the way. PreStone beat Brighton today band a stand out player was new signing darly hogan in the left wing. Preston fans are very impressed with him. This guy was a toon target apparently. ..Might have been a steal as they are already talking about him as a future star.

That Mirror article looks like they want to fake some ‘news’.

Maybe Ashley’s said he wants to sign young players with a sell on value as part of building a squad for the longer term?

Think about it, the red-tops love to report on controversy at NUFC.

Just saw your question on Lascelles, he didn’t look any worse than anyone else in the second half, nobody knew what Darlow was trying to do before their goal, his clearance looked like a volleyball punch.

Wasnt on the goal was just on going Ando was saying Lascelles kept letting their striker run past him and just in general looked crap BUT Ando is possibly the most miserable person Ive heard on the radio so am skeptical of his opinion (not to say I dont enjoy him on the radio like)
