Here’s Rafa’s Impressive Record For 2016-2017 – 69 Goals Scored

We’ve compiled the full record for Newcastle so far this season, including the Championship, EFL (League) Cup and FA Cup and it’s very impressive.

Newcastle have played 33 games and won 23 of them for a win rate of 70% and we have lost 8 games for a loss rate of 24.2% – Newcastle have scored 69 goals, conceded 24 for a goal difference of +45.

That compares with the whole of last season when we won 10 of a total of 41 games played and lost 21 for a win rate of 24.4% and  a loss rate of 51.2% – we scored 48 goals and conceded 68 for a goal difference of -20.

The win rate last season (24.4%) is almost exactly the same as the loss rate (24.2%) we have so far this season.

Steve McClaren and Rafa Benitez

While we have to realize we are in the Championship this season the difference is still rather staggering.

Here’s Newcastle’s record this season – so far.

We’re not really overpaying are we Ancient ? They bought him from us six months ago and we’re basically giving them a refund by the looks of it.

I hope it is a ploy.
I hope they string HH along for a few days and then pull the plug on it.
I reckon he is trying to put some cash together for Defoe.

Belfast, but Crystal Palace bought Townsend on the premise that they thought he could carry on his form, after showing great potential for 2 months. He is out of form, and it looks like Palace want him off their books.

Townsend has not retained his value. Compare his 2 months of form a year ago, against his 6 months of form this season…

£3 million for less than half a season, for a player Palace want rid off. Absurd valuation. Townsend isn’t even worth his wages right now.

Woah – blogs moved on a bit.
    questions. Jib first.
The question Jib asks is what is he holding in his right hand.
Well some time ago I would have answered with great confidence -a 2 litre bottle of cheap/rotgut cider .
However, as time has moved on a bit and the evening in drawing in, I think I can confidently predict what you are holding. I think you are getting “ready” for the evening – therefore you are clearly holding either your make up bag or some ladies underwear.
(ladies underwear not from a damsel in your boudoir – but from own wardrobe).

You could understand it, if the club had to overspend to prise a player away from a club that wanted to keep him. If you want a player that another club does not want to sell, then you have to make them an offer they cannot refuse.

This Townsend situation isn’t anything like that.

If it’s just a case of cash for Defoe – Ashley should just give it to Fat Sam
    😀

I don’t think any Crystal Palace player has played well this season mate? I also don’t think it’s much different from last January’s situation either. He was having a bad time at Spurs as well and that worked out pretty well.

I certainly hope we don’t sign wheel barrow instead lol
