Captain Issues Apology To Newcastle Fans

Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles has taken to his Twitter account to apologize to our fans for the pathetic display today at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford where Newcastle United suffered a a stunning 3-0 defeat by the mid-table League One club – who deserved their win.

That says it all – they deserved their win.

Jamaal Lascelles – apologizes

This is like a big kick in the gut for proud Geordie fans.

But we are going to have to get over defeat this quickly before Wednesday night when we play QPR at home.

I still think Rafa knew what he was doing. So many changes in my opinion will only ever result in a defeat.

Look at Derby, a replay against Leicester that they could do without.

I would love a cup run but would rather have one with a chance of winning it.

Promotion is all that matters, again just my opinion

murphy aint no spring chicken no more soon to retire lets be serious gayle the verdict still on him when come to premier league . gouff doing well under benitez but he aint no spring chicken either. mitro have shown good things bossing top cbs last season his first season and i think he did well in a very bad handled team. this season his been on limited game time and” btw he has not been as bad as some of u say”. and rightly so because so far gayle been bangin them in so give him a break will ya kid will come good …lets just say the verdict still on instead of bashing him.personally i just hope he gets red cards out of his game then i think he can be very good player.

Mitrovic, who only turned 22 in September, has barely featured this season, and has only came back from an injury…. “but why isn’t he smashing them in”?

He was wrong-footed for one of his chances, rifled another chance into the bottom corner to have it saved, and was denied a penalty by great goalkeeping – not that penalty scoring ability is any measure of a player.

Some European club will take Mitro for £10m – cut our losses and Hull seem keen on £10m price tags for their players currently, their wally of a chairman having a fire sale, so bring in Hernandez who is much more Rafa’s style of ST.

Mitro has played the equivalent of 6.5 games this season (minus today) and scored 5 and 2 assists I’d say that’s a very decent record

Even our first team isn’t good enough to win the cup ffs. All this bleating, but we’ve got two important games this coming week – far more important than a cup we were never going to win anyway. We’re a Championship club and getting out of it is all that matters. Nobody makes nine changes and plays like a team that plays together all the time. I sometimes wonder if half on here even understand the game and what is a priority and what isn’t. Forget the cup, it’s a distraction we don’t need. If we can’t get the players in we need, we need to protect those we’ve got. We usually pick up injuries in these games that we can do without. He’s given three kids a chance and it’s not worked. Big deal. The league matters. We can challenge for the cup when we have a team capable of winning it. Sometimes sacrificing these games is for the good of the whole club. Of the three games we’ve got in a week, this was the one we could afford to lose without any damage to our main priority.
No need to reply to this, you’ve already had enough to say and I’ve read it. I’m away anyway, listening to cry babies I can live without. Seriously, it’s pathetic. We go into two vital games with a full team and they matter. You can’t win every match, you need to realise that fact. We were never going to win this cup, so why drag it out? It’s over, now you get over it. Promotion is all that matters. Rant over, good night.

    Championship early 2015.

Derby County played seven fixtures in February; six in the Championship and one in the 5th round of the FA Cup. They won three, drew two, and lost one from their league fixtures. They lost their fixture in the FA Cup and exited the competition in February. At the end of the month they were top of the Championship.

    They ended up 8th

I once proved Obertan was our best winger with such stats – minutes/goals/assists – we all know he never was not at any stage good enough.

Mitro is a lump that cannot follow/understand tactical instruction, has questionable finishing and average at best hold-up play. Goes from charging around like a bull to plodding around doing nothing, seemingly at random.

Sell him and get a more mobile, technical, agile ST like Hernandez.

Liverpool one of the great Cup sides are also gone and it’s much more of an embarrassment to them loosing to Wolves at Anfield.
Somehow I think that Klopp like Rafa know that the cup games are in a way win-win ( even if you loose ) as a win takes you through to the next opportunity, a loss with a weakened side is damage limitation and
lets you get back to your priority.
The bonus is that Rafa now knows more about his squad and how certain players react. That can only strengthen his decision making when picking the first team and strengthening his resolve when looking at transfers.
Wednesday night – take no prisoners, we need a full on performance and result.

We now need to make at least one good signing and that should be a proper midfielder, then win our next two games decisively to blow away the challengers. If we don’t win the next two we are going to struggle and because of the expectations we will fail I think. Having said that the challengers don’t have strong enough squads to go up automatically without a lot of luck!

Unfortunately Moanster Mag will be in his element tonight but I thought Charlie in the Gallowgate had more sense. Pardew was hammered for fielding weakened teams when it was mathematically impossible to get relegated and out of the question to finish above tenth. Promotion is a must this season, we aren’t aiming for tenth this year and we do not have a big enough squad to play three games a week. I wish there was an alternative universe where 52K fans like Moanster, Posada and Gorgonzola had their Newcastle United get Stuart Pearce as manager because they sure don’t deserve a manager like Rafa.

Some things never change even under Benizez. The Toon last won something when they invented the wheel. Eternal losers.
This club will never make any progress until the fat controller sells up. Hopefully he has not sold the land behind the Gallowgate end by then so we can expand the ground.
Townsend is a dud at Palace but we will buy him????? We are buying second rate players. None of the current team would get into a top 6 Prem team. Only a few wou ld get into an average Prem team and the rest of our team are decent Champioship players.
If we get promoted we will end up in a relegation fight.
The fat controller will not give Benitez enough money to make us into a mid table team. Why are we buying players like Townsend who are average at best and did not want to play for us. It is all short termism to try to survive in the Prem. Even with Benitez, we are just trying to get by. One man to blame for that. Mr Ashley.
With such a big squad, why make 9 changes if you are serious about competing? Resting players??? Are you serious???? A game a week and the odd cup games and they need a rest. Go tell that to Messi and Ronaldo who play 80 games a season minimum at the highest level and still perform brilliantly. Our muppets cannot play 50?
There is no ambition at this club. We play a reserve team and lose. It was well deserved then. When will we ever win anything??????

Whats the point? To win the reserve team Cup?
Most teams do it but it just devalues the FA cup. It is not worth winning anymore. Its just as well because we wont win it. We never win ….. all. A team that makes up the numbers.

So Bobby says we were never going to win the cup anyway so why bother? You never win anything with that attitude. Which is perhaps why we’ve never won anything.

There’s no guarantees we’ll get out of this division, cup run or not. And there’s no law that says a good cup run jeopardises your chances in the league.

If this great Mitro fella I keep hearing about ever turns up, I’ll might revise my opinion on him. I sounded the alarm bells the first time I saw him. Since then, there’s been little to persuade me to change my mind. I predicted Gayle would score at least twice as many as Mitro and, so far, Gayle’s shown he’s streets ahead.

It could have been different had their keeper not been as efficient . Apparently he saved a couple from Mitro that were better than normal saves plus the pen. Disappointing to concede three though , if we could have just scored two at least it would have gone to a penalty shootout.

    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
