Senegal drew with Cameroon 0-0 after extra time tonight in Gabon and Cameroon went through to the last four winning 5-4 on penalties.
That means Mohamed Diame will be on his way back to Newcastle and although it’s unlikely he will be available for the game against QPR at home on Wednesday nigh. he could be ready for the home game against Derby County on Saturday.

In the penalty shoot-out Cameroon scored all their five penalties – while Senegal scored their first four but then Liverpool’s Sadio Mane missed his spot kick and that was the difference.
Newcastle’s Henri Saivet scored Senegal’s fourth penalty.
Mo Diame was an unused substitute in the game tonight, but played the whole game in Senegal’s third group game – the 2-2 with Algeria.
DR Congo play Ghana tomorrow so we’ll be getting either Chancel Mbemba (DR Congo) returning or Christian Atsu (Ghana), depending on which country wins the game and advances to the semi-finals of the tournament.
