Rafa’s Inspirational Rallying Cry To His Players

Here’s what Rafa has written in the program notes for today’s game – and it’s a rallying cry to his players to gain promotion for the club – perfect.

Rafa Benitez

Here’s what Rafa wrote:

“The players realise they can write their name into folklore at Newcastle.”

“My message to the players is that they must give everything, show the personality and the character that the supporters expect.”

“We must not allow other teams to gain belief that they can get points here. We know what we have to put into action”

Good and deserved changes to the team. Would have like to have seen gouffran starting on the bench, has had very little impact lately.

Sorry lol, we’ve never really spoke on here so you won’t get me. I’m just messing, it was tongue in cheek.
I saw a new thread and posted that gouffran should have started on the bench. I then notice you had got there before me in posting the same suggestion.
Jokingly I said you don’t know what you’re talking about when we both said the same thing.
    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

From earlier, Clarke has been a revelation for us but I was wondering why given where the cut was, he wasn’t subbed.

I know lol. Top four every year, fa cup wins, good football, occasionally flirting with a title challenge. Imagine if they had Pardew or mcclaren? They’d soon beg for wenger.

9-11 didn’t expect to see Lascelles dropped despite his not so good game on Wednesday, be interesting to see whether Hanley can grab that spot for a few games.

I’m not new though, I’ve registered on here for at least a year now. I just don’t post much.
You won’t get any grief from me lol, I agree with you on gouffran. As soon as I disagree with you though, I’ll be on your case 😉

Derby only had 39% possession against Ipswich and still won 0-3.

I cannot see this being one being a 0-0.

    3 -2 to the Toon.
Would never have got that bingo line-up.

Be watching Shelvey today – is he going back to more or less a CB position to rid himself of a marker and collect the ball.
Really do not like him playing that deep.

Need to get at them today – bit of energy as opposed to the slow backwards/sideways stuff.
    Mitro needs to behave himself.

After today’s game at home to Derby, we will play only two home games out of the next seven.

That is 2 home, 5 away. Normally this would be bad news, but at present SJP is a poisonous home venue for the team. Our away form is superior to our home efforts, in fact the best in the UK.

SJP is certainly not a fortress, the so called ‘twelfth man’ has gone quiet. The toon fans that support the lads at the away games are phenomenal, and it fuels the team.

On Saturday, please act as fans, you are supposed to be supporters, do your duty.

    SUPPORT means SUPPORT!!!

Not so excited about Mitrovic our main striker, he can’t hit a barn door atm.
    Hope he Prooves me wrong.
I know a lot of toon fans rate him but he’s nothing special imo certainly no 13mil payer.

Lol I’ve just said 10 mins earlier that gabbiadini for Southampton will prove to be a good player and now he goes and scores a good goal. He’s a great striker of the ball and I expect him to score a lot of long rangers and free kicks.
