Poll – Can Newcastle Get The Job Done At Wolves?

Rafa Benitez will have his press conference later today for the game at Wolves tomorrow and one thing we should find out is about our injury situation.

We are hoping Dwight Gayle, Jack Colback and Isaac Hayden are all fit for this game, but we would be surprised if Dwight is risked tomorrow.

Especially when we have two more games at Norwich on Tuesday night and at home against Aston Villa next Monday night.

Dwight Gayle – is he fit for tomorrow?

The very last thing we want is for Dwight to get injured again and when he does  return, if he can stay fit for the rest of the season that would almost guarantee us being promoted because of his goals.

Dwight has 20 goals in 22 appearances so far this season.

A win is what we need tomorrow, but it will be a very tough game against a side who have won at Stoke and Liverpool in the FA Cup this year.

Can they get the job done – yes, yes they can.

Couple of good away results and the premiership prize will look a lot closer and within grasp.

What we need is a solid away performance to get on and stay on another confidence building run. We have definitely looked a little brittle at the end of games again.
I think Rafa will concentrate on not conceding first half, the old sit in and counter, but without Gayle fully fit we lack that break out pace.

I’m hoping we might be keeping Gayle under wraps so Wolves will be expecting to play against Mitro or Murphy and set up accordingly and then we surprise them by naming Gayle in the team – I can dream 🙂
