Lascelles And Colback Return For Wolves

Rafa Benitez has just announced his starting eleven for the match at Wolves in the late kickoff game in the Championship this afternoon and captain Jamaal Lascelles and Jack Colback come back into the side.

It’s good to see Christian Atsu back on the bench today and Aleksandar Mitrovic keeps his place in spite of having a fairly poor game last Saturday against Derby County.

Jack Colback comes in to give Isaac Hayden a rest today.

This is some of what Rafa said yesterday in his press conference:

“When you play away, everybody wants to beat you. But we are ready, top and we are happy – but it’s difficult.”

“It’s important to just concentrate on one game at a time. The other teams will be pushing and pushing.”

“April is crucial because we have seven games, that month will be the key for the final positions.”

About 7 fans in 10 think we can win this game this afternoon.

Crystal, Sunderland and Leeds down. Reading even and QPR coming on – could be a good start to the day.

Decent side and bench but how does Colback walk back into the starting XI over Hayden!!!

Need to keep Costa quiet, he looks like a player destined for big things based on the few times I have seen him.

Enobakhare is highly rated, should be a good game, going for a 3-2 toon win. Murphy and Atsu coming on and both scoring after a Shelvey free kick.

Cn see Hull staying up. Played well again earlier today and certainly have more fight in them than most around them.

Only have Man City and Spurs to play out of the big teams too. Even if it goes to the wire, Spurs final day at H and we know what can be done to them when they’re playing for nothing on the final day.

Think Sunderland, Swansea and Palace will go down.

Mitrovic who can’t hit a barn door from five yards away and Colback, the dirtiest player in the championship.
    Oh dear.

10/11 for the 2nd game running. Picked Colback to start but not Lascelles. Colback can do all the dirty work and allow Shelvey to distribute freely.

Mitrovic and Ritchie to score today.

I’d have got 11/11 if it wasn’t for Colback starting over Hayden.

I wonder how long it’ll take for the ginger pirlo to get his standard yellow card?

Are you a troll? Why complain that mitro is playing when yesterday you said you’d actually like to see him start and because the stick you gave him that he could go on and score a hat trick!

I have to say I thought Murphy would start today but hopefully Mitro will benefit from the manager showing confidence in him.

Hayden has played a lot recently – a day off was probably in order. I also like the Mitro inclusion; think he will start to connect. Would have liked to see Atsu, but maybe not ready from his African trip.

    Martoon,

I agree. All the talk that Rafa has no confidence in Mitro may have been misplaced and he has a good opportunity to affirm it.

Well, that’s most of the pre-match colloquialisms about Mitrovic and barn doors out of the way. Let’s hope one out Mitro/Colback/Dummett has a bad game, so we can feel vindicated in our worldly wise opinions.

I may have mistaken you for someone else then but I don’t think I have. I’m not going back on threads just to find the comment. I just saw the said comment and found it odd as I know you always go on about mitro in a negative way like a broken record. As for you questioning me what he has done, you asked me a similar question last weekend and I’m still waiting for your response.

1 – 3 to the Toon – Mitro surely has to convert some of his chances today.
Mitro to score + Ritchie + Gouffran.
