Rafa’s Team For Norwich City – Two Changes

We’ll make another attempt to guess Rafa’s team for the game tomorrow night at Carrow Road against Norwich City.

Dwight Gayle is finally fit again and he’s in our team replacing Aleksandar Mitrovic up front.

However, Mitro scored on Saturday and Rafa may keep him in the starting line-up and bring on Gayle in the second half.

Isaac Hayden comes back in at defensive midfield for local lad Jack Colback, after having rested that sore ankle of his on Saturday in the 1-0 win at Wolves.

So this is the side Rafa could start tomorrow night:

Yedlin Lascelles (c) Clark Dummett
Shelvey Hayden
Richie Diame Gouffran

There’s a chance Christian Atsu could also start the game on the right wing – maybe with Matt Richie moving over to the left hand side.

There’s also a chance Ayoze Perez could get a start in the number 10 position for Mo Diame, but we doubt it.

What would your team be for Norwich?

I don’t think Gayle will start, if anything I think he’ll come off the bench when legs are getting a bit tired.

Can’t wait to see the lad back. His movement has been hugely missed.

I don’t think there will be any changes.

Might give Gayle 20 minutes , but will keep him for the Villa game

It would be crazy to start Gayle.

Agree with giving him the last 20 mins.

Not sure Gayle should be starting straight away, there are plenty of games left and Mitro / Murphy have the position covered at present.

Rafa likes to play the 4231 formation with the ‘wide’ midfielders cutting in, but he also needs to start playing Lazaar to provide width like Yedlin does. He obviously lacks a bit defensively so to counter act this, Rafa could play the two DMs as cover for the full backs also. With Shelvey a touch higher the three attacking midfielders create a strong driving force going forwards and plenty of steel in defense. IMO the striker should be rotovated just to keep things fresh and Murphy, being ex-Ipswich, would love to get a brace.

I think it’s time for an all gouffran team!
