Norwich 2 Newcastle 2 – Full Video Highlights

Newcastle made a dream start with a goal after 23 seconds last night though Ayoze Perez but then were 2-1 down after 17 minutes after some poor defending from Newcastle.

Murphy scored after 12 minutes and then an embarrassing complete mis-kick by goalkeeper Karl Darlow gifted Jerome with a go-ahead goal.

But Newcastle came back well and hit the bar twice before captain Jamal Lascelles volleyed home from a narrow angle on 81 minutes to give Newcastle a well deserved point, but we lost 2 points on Huddersfield, Reading. Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds – who all won.

Huddersfield are now only 5 points behind us having won their last five games.

Said it many times,Darlow is a nervous Gk.Apart from flashes of good instinctive saves, his overall keeping performances are poor.Mitrovic is a waste.Don’t see him learning and developing other than depreciating. The sooner Elliott installed in goal and Mitrovic shipped out in the summer, the better. While happy to earn a point at the end, being wasteful infront Of goal and unable to finish the game off is concerning and become costly.
After a happy night for taking a point, those below us closing the gap made me bite my fingers & feel nervous.Still more work and improvements needs to be done.Things are far from looking rosy.

So many chances spilled and goals given away in the other end… Playing Mitrovic is costing us points just like last year in the Prem. His finishing is awful, and I’m starting to think that he’s not unlucky anymore – he’s just not that good.

On the positive side, it seems that Dummetts crossing has improved? When he starts contributing in the final third he’ll be a quite good full back!
