Newcastle Fans Still Buzzing After Huge 3 Points

Newcastle fans took to Twitter again this morning and it looks like it’s going to be a good day for Newcastle fans and an especially good day in Newcastle.

It’s reported that people are going around with huge smiles on their faces after the fantastic come from behind 2-1 win at Brighton last night.

There are also reports the sun may even come out today – but that’s said to be another false report in the Mirror.

Here’s some of the tweets to cheer you up this morning with Newcastle back on top of the Championship table with 73 points from our 34 games.

Wanted Elliot in for Darlow for this game, but was so wrong. The young lad put on a great show and kept us in the game first half.
Rafa could have brought on Murph a bit earlier as he was a big factor in the eventual win, but apart from that, the rafalution is still on track.
    Now for Huddersfield on Saturday.

To the 2,700 who made the very long round trip for a televised game and probably did not get home until after three this morning you are a credit to your club.

The game last night felt like the norwich game when we nicked it at the death, hopefully Brighton do the same as Norwich did after we defeated them to reduce the gap to 1 point….this feels even more significant ,hopefully we can continue outr unbeaten run through to the end of the season like we did last time .

    Still buzzing

See Dummett is getting rave reviews and yup he did very well in defence which he has done all season but its still only half his job…if he was playing 10-15 years ago we’d be lucky to have him but u need more to ur game now

    Great win!
    Love Hoots.
    But not bothered about Brighton.
Could hear them chanting ‘you’re just a fat Spanish waiter’ most of night.
As for Glenn Daley – I thought you got booked for diving?
Will BobbyBlinkers be reffing the ‘Udders game? 👿

Did we get two bits of good fortune last night?
Murrays effort was going wide and Stockdale palmed it around the post for the corner that our well worked training ground move saw us level

Closer look at Diames goal, Atsu hits it then Murphy clips it slightly before bouncing off diame, funniest goal av seen in a while.

dummet was very good last night i must admit.
However, we seem to go up several levels when colback comes off and diame goes alongside shelvey.

Great impact by Murphy but shame he didn’t look to play people in left or right when we had a great 4 v 3 overload on their goal.

Still it’s a day for daft permanent grins and one in the eye for the rafa neggars. Top of the league, top scorers (I think that shows enough attacking intent), fewest conceded etc, etc.

    Merit marks for Perez?
He’s got to be up there with Gayle as a natural goal scorer.

I’ve booked our next holiday to Perezuela.
The lad has had some stick of late but perhaps it’s clearer now to see that he hasn’t been at his best early on in typical physical games when space and time is at a premium while later when space opens up he’s more cool and calculating. Just loved last nights goal

Maybe he starts against weaker opposition and is the super sub in more competitive games – Rafa will know best.

The ref had I think been demoted from the Premier League so was under immense personal pressure to make the big decisions to show that he could. Well he did make a big decision unfortunately it was just the wrong one.

The ref should of blown his whistle before the corner was taken and got the two captains together and told them anymore pushing shoving and shirt grabbing would be penalised. Because how I saw both teams were shoving and pushing each other and the decision could of easily went our way.

Anyway the decision seemed to galvanise our players as up to that moment we were shite!!!!

iv been saying for a long time now that atsu needs to start more games, last night was a perfect example of why , goofy is a willing runner, but he offers very little else, even though he has improved immensely this season, he is still not good enough

Always maintained Perez does his best work in the box, for me he’s a ST first and foremost, always has been. His movement and acceleration are improving. He seems to be wiser in using his energy now too, one of his downfalls has been his willingness to put in a shift which often meant he ran himself weak and ragged for little benefit. This also means he’s often been used out wide or in the no10 role because he’ll reliably put in a shift.

He’s very good coming off the bench. Has scored some crucial goals for us in such scenarios.

His long-term position is still a bit of a conundrum.

Win against Huddersfield and we’re well on our way.

Would probably need just 6 wins from the remaining 11 should we beat them.

The Ref can only blow his whistle for unsportsmanlike behaviour when the ball is in play. Any pushing and shoving prior to the corner being taken is not foul play.

Are you sure -me no referee so I cannot be certain – but I am sure I have seen it a couple of times this season already where I have seen the ref call the players together to have a ‘quite word in there ear’
