Can Newcastle Gain 3 Points On 3rd Placed Huddersfield?

It may be even a bigger game on Saturday than the game at Brighton was on Tuesday night and that’s because we are going up against the 3rd placed side in the league.

A win at the  John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon will put us 3 more points clear in an automatic promotion spot and will also do a big favor for second placed Brighton.

David Wagner – Huddersfield manager

But Huddersfield manager David Wagner has his team playing some great stuff this season and they easily beat Brighton 3-1 at home in early February, so this game may be Newcastle’s toughest game of the season.

Huddersfield lost 5-1 at Manchester City last night, but it’s clear they are prioritizing promotion over any FA Cup run and fielded a weakened side last night.

In their last seven Championship games they have won six and drawn one – a 1-1 draw at Barnsley last Saturday.

45 year-old Wagner has only been at the club for 16 months but has transformed the team completely since leaving Borussia Dortmund in early November, 2015 and he’s one of the best young managers in the game.

This will be a very tough game for us on Saturday afternoon.

I had hoped to see Wagner’s name linked with the Leicester job, however, I suspect they will stick with Shakespeare after they humped Liverpool last week.

Yes we’ll do them and we won’t even concede…that result on Tuesday was outstanding because it looked like we were never going to score until Murph came on and the players were sooooooo happy because they knew more than anyone else they were lucky to win even though they probably knew they deserved to win.

I guess what I’m saying is they’ll still be buzzin’ and their belief will be sky high…which IMO is the only thing Rafa has to temper before the game on Saturday.

2-0 to the toon and in turtle controel all the way thru! 🙂

As you all know know I’M NEVER WRONG lol 🙂 🙂

During all my 60 years of supporting the toon i have seen all the euphoria before, world beaters on game pure amateurs the next fustration doesn’t describe it, lets just hope the team that beat Brighton turns up and
Not the team that played the game before,
