Congratulations To Newcastle On This Significant Milestone

Newcastle United are starting to look like a very well-run club these days and they are starting to pay attention to the fans’ needs and the way they are televising the full 90 minutes of recent games is outstanding.

And today they have reached 1M followers on their very popular Twitter account.

Congratulations to the club and please keep up the good work.

🙂

It’s likely he will start on the bench, if it is a confidence thing with Gayle maybe Rafa will wait until their players tire a little and then introduce Gayle.

Gayle is good at breaking the offside trap, and clinical in front of goal, has good movement so will run a tired back four ragged.

If Gayle is over his injury. Play him from the start.

If it is a mental block/confidence issue – play him from the start. Get him out there and playing. He may need time to feel his way into the game. He won’t have that coming on late.

If it is now a match fitness-stamina issue due to his time off then he can start on the bench and come on last 20-30 minutes.

Me after watching the Huddersfield game against City they play a high pressing game so our defence would have to be on there toes along with our midfield for the first 20 minutes of the game.

    Plan X
On that note I would start with the same team as on Tuesday with strength up the middle with Colback and Goufran who are good at denying the opposition space then as the game goes on introduce Perez and Murphy who tend to be lazy.

And hope if they tire we can exploit the situation.

Keep Gayle for the Reading game and use as a sub especially if we get a result tomorrow

Well the lowest / highest points totals for playoff place since 2010 are 68/78 so a couple more wins should guarantee us that – we’re 3 points from being safe from relegation 🙂

I reckon a win tomorrow virtually guarantees us promotion. It would take a total meltdown as well as a winning run by Huddersfield for them to catch us and under Rafa I just can’t see that happening. He keeps the team pretty much planted in reality and won’t allow complacency to take a hold. We’ll have the odd slip up no doubt, but not a meltdown.
They know nothing more than a win will do them tomorrow and that might play into our hands nicely. Seems they only play one way and Rafa and his staff will have disected that well and truly. Even a draw will suit us more than them, they need a win. That alone is pressure. A loss isn’t the end of the world either, we’ve got a nice cushion now. The pressure is much more on them than us this game. Quietly confident.

I agree Bobby. A win tomorrow and it’s all but done.

Let’s hope Rafa and the players aren’t as complacent about things though.

The discipline, patience and persistence they showed points to a message delivered and received on the training ground.
    From NUFC.com
    From Moanster
”One team looks like a well coached outfit. The other doesn’t. Rubbish”

The club is being ran like a proper club now. Short of the January SNAFU Rafa has galvanized the city and the Toon Army World Wide behind the club and got everyone moving in the same direction for the 1st time in a long time. If pards got an 8 year deal surely Rafa is worth a Lifetime contract and complete control. Would feel a lot better moving forward if Rafa inks a big money longterm contract! How much money should Rafa have in the war chest if we go up and do you think he could have us competing in the top half of the Premier leave next year? I mean, Lads, what are we realistic dreaming about… champions league in 2 seasons? Trophy next year maybe? I know where my dreams are but I need to know how realistic mine are! Howay the Lads!
