Rafa Gives Glowing Comments On This Newcastle Player

In the last two games Christian Atsu has been our Man of the Match and the popular African player has started to do really well at Newcastle.

When asked about Christian yesterday during his interviews with the local press, Rafa said it was simple for Atsu – if he plays today at Huddersfield he needs to be Man of the Match again.

Atsu is trying his very best to become a permanent player at Newcastle in the summer, but it’s up to Rafa to decide that.

But Rafa has given some glowing comments on the Ghanaian winger, whom he seems to rate highly and has confidence in.

This is what Rafa told the local press as reported in the Shields Gazette today when asked about the 25 year-old’s future:

“His future is very clear. If he plays against Huddersfield, he has to be Man of the Match again!”

“We have plenty of time, so no problem. He is doing well. “He was doing well before, and after playing a lot of games in the Africa Cup of Nations.”

“He has come back and regained his form little by little.” “That is quite good. We are really pleased with him.”

“Hopefully, he can play well until the end.”

“I didn’t need to challenge him. He’s professional and he knows.” “He knows I have confidence in him.”

“He’s playing good football because he’s a good player and everybody is supporting him.”

“When we were watching players for this position in the summer, we were looking for someone like him,”

“He can pass and run behind defenders and create and score goals.”

“We are happy with him.”

Those comments will give Atsu any extra confidence he needs, but it’s clear Rafa likes the player and Christian  seems so professional and great for the team spirit.

Did we say we liked him?

Atsu was named in the Africa Cup of Nations Team of the Tournament last month and that was the second time in a row he has made that team.

He would be  a popular signing with Newcastle fans, but Rafa is right to keep challenging him before the end of the season.

We simply must get promoted this season.

Gayle to come on and get a hatrick in 25 mins to go back above Woods,
