Matt Ritchie has been in great form for us this year and he now has 13 goals and he took up the slack on the goal-scoring front when Dwight Gayle was injured in mid-January at Brentford.
Thankfully, Gayle is now back fit again and he may even start the game against Fulham on Saturday.
Matt is a great character who just loves the passion that is Newcastle United and he is very well liked by the Newcastle fans.
Matt Ritchie – another excellent performance
Matt was again our Man of the Match (25%) on Tuesday night at Reading and that was for the second time in three games.
The 27 year-old has been a fabulous signing from Bournemouth and he seems to have become a better player under Rafa Benitez over the last seven months.
Paul Dummett (18%) is next in the voting and he is in top form at the moment and he looks a much better player now than he was at the start of the season as Rafa is turning him into a top class left back.
We would be surprised if he doesn’t now start for Wales in the World Cup qualifying games later this month.
Next in the voting are three players who are always high in the voting and have been some of our top performers all season – Jonjo Shelvey (12%), Karl Darlow (11%) and Ciaran Clark (11%) and they have all improved this season too.
Credit goes to all of them.

Comment #83Yep I wouldn’t use Jimmy saville references lightly. Or at all lol. Just like I wouldn’t shoehorn the Yorkshire ripper or Himmler in to the conversation. 😐 Lessons learned though, eh? 🙂

Comment #84Graveyard blog shift clocking in….
I see that jimmysmith put Sigurdson into the #10 slot in his “next season’s desired lineup”. I would absolutely go insane with happiness to see that happen. I have been hoping Swansea start losing again and get relegated just to make the selling of Sigurdson more likely. Sorry Welshie!

Comment #85On the topic of Mitro
Been sad reading all the articles stating he will be sold in the summer. I really like the big Serb and still think he will come good. Unfortunately looks like that will be elsewhere! 🙁

Comment #87A French car manufacturer, Peugeot, is in the process of buying Vauxhall, an American owned car company based in England.
There are many reasons as to why Peugeot are involved in this transaction, but the critical attraction is that since Brexit the British pound has dropped 20% in value.
If Vauxhall is now a company valued at 20% less than 8 months ago, what price NUFC?
Bargain hunters in Asia, the Middle East, America, or even ironically, Europe, could be sniffing. An EPL club at a 20% discount, tasty!
Just a thought, after all, Brexit means Bargins, perhaps…
