Newcastle Talented Midfielder Ready To Resume Training

Issac Hayden hasn’t played for Newcastle since the game against Derby on 4th February and a couple of weeks after that game he underwent surgery on his ankle and he was expected to be put about four weeks initially.

Ir’s fair to say we have missed Isaac in the side since Newcastle tend to be more free-flowing  with Isaac in that defensive midfield position and he’s improved a lot this season under the guidance of Rafa Benitez.

It looks like Isaac will be returning to training next week so he could be available for the game at home to Wigan in 1st April and could maybe make the bench for that game if everything goes well over the next couple of weeks.

Rafa Benitez and Isaac Hayden

Rafa has talked about Isaac and Rolando Aarons to the local press.

This is what he said as reported in the Chronicle today:

“Hayden is improving a lot and hopefully next week he will start training with the team.”

“Hayden’s coming back and hopefully, this international break will allow us to recover some players.”

“Rolando is still training but needs time although he is training with the team.”

“Sterry and Yedlin are both out now along with Clark.” “We will see how they progress this week but he’s doing well.”

DeAndre Yedlin is now back in Newcastle after being assessed by the American medics in Los Angeles and he will resume treatment of his thigh injury on Tyneside.

It could be that in two to three weeks we could have almost all of the 27 man squad fit and available to play – except for young Jamie Sterry who may be out for the season.

Yeah this international break will have come at a perfect time for us if we win today, or at least match Brighton which we should do.

I think Sky sports are coming to the realisation that top of the table championship games are better viewing than some of the PL dross they show.

I expect us and Brighton to appear much more on telly after the international break.

Tough on the fans as fixtures will get shuffled.

Stunning result for us last night. Fully expect us to take advantage now. Was interesting watching man city the other night on irish tv. Eamonn dunphy, a really good analyst, was highly critical of the city manager and his inability to teach defence. He contrasted him with hughton and rafa as top quality coaches who cud train defence. Lets hope ashley backs him to get the right creative players and strikers next season. 0-2 today.

Where’s Lazaar? If he’s fit and is still not even making the bench with an ailing Dummett soldiering on, then I think we can write him off as sold in the summer.

If Rafa plays Dummett today with his injury, it shows how highly he rates him.

I think we’ve missed Hayden in some games. Would definitely prefer him in the Colback position. He’s pretty good in the air (defensively) as well.

Hayden’s the best all-round combative midfielder we’ve had in over 15 years so of course we’ve missed him.

    Still only 21 too.

Wouldn’t Lazaar be more of an attacking option than Dummett?

So if Rafa is leaning towards 3 at the back, that would
give Dummett the edge in selection.
