Rafa Sure Of Club’s Bright Future – We’ll All Have Chance To Dream

With there not being too much news during these boring International break the Chronicle has rescued us all by conducting a long and very interesting interview with manager Rafa Benitez.

Rafa is asked a number of questions  and as usual he responds to each question with his real thought on the matter and they are also written responses from the manager so he goes into some detail at times.

One question they have asked is if he thinks the club will have a bright future, but he stresses we must first secure promotion before we can think about too much else.

Rafa Benitez – Newcastle United manager

He’s right there.

This is how Rafa thinks about the future at Newcastle United:

“Yes, this is a big club and we can have a very bright future I’m sure.”

“The fans are incredible, the stadium is superb, the staff, everything is in place to allow this club to achieve great things.”

“But first we have to reach the target, we have to remain focused on only one thing and that is securing promotion.”

“We can’t make the mistakes of the past and start running without walking first.”

“If everyone can stick together and help the team go up then we can talk about the future.”

“Then we have the chance to dream.”

That’s such a good answer from Rafa and of course some of us would like that very bright future to come sooner rather than later.

🙂

    Just missed the bus. 🙂

Going back several threads, if what Peter is saying about Good and FinDlay then a new CB may not be such a vital need.

I have high hopes for some of our young players including (one for Bobby) Adam Armstrong. Under the new regime we may even see some of them coming through.

So unless we’re are getting an AC type back then I don;t see Callum Wilson as a priority either.

I have said it before but I’d bet that NUFC have someone trawling through all of the blogs, not that I’m trying to diminish the worthiness of this one, still number 1 in my book.
