Poll – Can Newcastle Beat Wigan On Saturday?

The two week boring International break is almost over and we will be into the last five weeks of the Championship season and will know soon enough if we can get promoted automatically back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

But that will depend on Newcastle’s ability to beat two bottom four teams at home in the next two games.

The first game is against Wigan on Saturday followed by a game against Burton Albion on Wednesday night.

Isaac Hayden – back from injury?

Newcastle have to be ruthless and get all 6 points in these two games and failure to do so at this vital stage of the season could jeopardize our chances of automatic promotion.

We are also expecting defensive midfielder Isaac Hayden to return to the side after he has recovered from surgery to repair his injured ankle.

Has to be a banker this one surely? Most of the boys have had a bit of rest, and surely must have a bit of fire in the belly from Rafa.

    G –

Other teams have had the same rest as us, so it’s even stephens.
    No advantage to us.
Probably more of an advantage to those teams with small squads
