Taking The Pulse Of Newcastle Fans On Twitter

Here are some tweets from Newcastle fans today on what’s on their minds, before we play yet another vital league game on Wednesday night at home to a good Burton Albion side.

And here’s our Man of the Match on Saturday after scoring that great winning goal for us.

Matt Ritchie celebrates scoring winning goal

Yes – let’s show some real class and not follow what Sunderland supporters did last year – they will find it very difficult to get out of an ever improving Championship next season if they are relegated.

Looking ahead I just wonder if a new purpose built Training Centre is needed rather than Benton ?
Top clubs have invested in new facilities that can include additional fitness and sports medical facilities that could be made available to the public as part of the wider need to encourage health and fitness for all.

Always though that the Sporting Club of Newcastle had some merit alongside the Falcons and others.

Top club, top manager , top fans, top ground, top city – so why not top as in World Class Training and Medical facilities – for once purpose built rather than reworking existing facilities could put Newcastle very clearly as a leader in excellence alongside our hospitals, medical research, Universities, business class companies and people.

Come on Ashley let’s have some vision please

    No plane fly overs please.
Hot Air balloons with Black and White livery for class.
Flights over SJP – in lieu of donations to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation

along with a chorus with some adaptation and forceful rend ion of Up Up and Away !

Would you like to ride in my beautiful balloon
We could float among the stars together, you and I
For we can fly we can fly
    Up, up and away
    My beautiful, my beautiful toon….

The world’s a nicer place in my beautiful balloon
It wears a nicer face in my beautiful balloon
We can sing a song and sail along the silver sky
For we can fly we can fly
    Up, up and away
    My beautiful, my beautiful balloon
    Suspended under a twilight canopy
We’ll search the clouds for a star to guide us
If by some chance you find yourself loving me
We’ll find a cloud to hide us
We’ll keep the moon beside us
Love is waiting there in my beautiful balloon
Way up in the air in my beautiful balloon
If you’ll hold my hand we’ll chase your dream across the sky
For we can fly we can fly
    Up, up and away
    My beautiful, my beautiful balloon
    Balloon…
    Up, up, and away

A winning mentality comes from…..winning, winning is because of a number of things, putting the best players in their favoured positions, making sure everyone knows what they are asked to do , having the players work hard in all phases of play and a little luck.
The man charged with bringing this all about is Rafa, his work ethic has to be higher than any of the players (and almost certainly is) and the players must buy into his ideas.
This season is the first season for a very long time where i go to the games and i can see a plan being unfolded in front of me, a plan that may not havebows and bangles adorning it but an effective one, a plan to maximise what we have at our disposal to last the full game…….so much so that (i believe) the only reason we dont win every game is either because of one of three things.
    1. A mistake by obe of our players
    2. One of our players not following the instructions properly
    3. The opposition having a wondergoal or superkeeper.
Most games we create quite a few chances and restrict the opposition to a few shots from outside the box and we go on and win ,on the odd occasion this hasnt happened its becaus of the reasons above or (i should add a 4. Here)
4.absolutely appaling decisions by the ref and linespeople.
If we carry on this season and stick to the no nonsense plan we will go up as champions, if we have more mistakes/not following instructions or dodgy reffing i believe we will still go up as automatic .
It may not be pretty at times and it may not get us off our seats this season but better that than still being in this league next season by trying to be gung ho.
Next season i expect much of the same until we get a different level of player, the season after will be better as we will be building a squad of players capable of greater things, we have the manager to build that team and guide them, we just need an owner to buy into the dream…….over to you Mr Ashley, the time for speculating to accumulating is near at hand….HWTL, HWTF

Nobody would see it anyway, theres so much fog of discontentment over their place at the moment that even an aeroplane couldnt penetrate it, and even if it did, the plane would have to fly over at 3pm (or when the game starts a) as the stadium will in all likelyhood be 3/4 empty by the end of the game (just to beat the traffic though you understand) .
A waste of air pollution and money, put it towards the SBR foundation and the Bradley Lowry appeal , it would do more good and benefit more people

Send the plane over the wearmouth bridge at half time

Best way to get it seen, no point in flying over the stadium its empty.

    All jokes aside .

Leave that sort of sad act for the unwashed..

Just looking at the midweek fixtures – I never realised that most games are on Tuesday night including Brighton. If they win this could add to our pressure but at least Huddersfield play Wednesday as well!
