Predicted Newcastle Team To Face Owls – Two Changes

We are assuming that Isaac Hayden is fit again after being withdrawn from the squad for the 1-0 home win against Burton Albion on Wednesday night.

Rafa will of course will start another strong team, as we go all out for another win that will bring us closer to an automatic promotion spot – but we cannot take anything for granted and expect another tough game against Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow.

We did not play well on Boxing Day when we lost at home to the Owls 1-0,  so hopefully this time we can get the win.

Isaac Hayden – in England U21 colors

We expect Isaac Hayden to come into the side in defensive midfield and Mo Diame to return to the number 10 role – although he did play very well on Wednesday night in defensive midfield.

This is the team that Rafa could start against the Owls at Hillsborough tomorrow in the late kick-off game.

Darlow
Anita Lascelles (c) Mbemba Dummett
Shelvey Hayden
Ritchie Diame Gouffran
Gayle

We expect Chancel Mbemba to keep his place after a rare start on Wednesday night, when he looked good alongside captain Jamaal Lascelles.

And we expect Yoan Gouffran to get a chance to shine after missing the game against Burton Albion, following a poor display against Wigan last Saturday.

Why do you genuinely think the FA prefers Brighton or Huddersfield for that matter, to be promoted?

Come on man, let’s not get a paranoid syndrome as well as the rest we got.

I was waiting for the changes Rafa made Wednesday. I thought he would hold off on those until he got promotion.
My change would be Gouffron for Atsu and Hayden on the bench. Sammy stays and Atsu has the night off. Ameobi has been an absolute attack fighter in his cameos, too bad about the asthma that holds him back. Murphey on as a sub at some point.

The senior clubs will have plenty of guys like Hayden, who haven’t fully emerged because of the level of competition they’ve faced, but have the capacity to make an immediate contribution at a club like Newcastle. Still hard to identify them though, and to prise them away, but Hayden looks a very good proposition, Atsu less so, but similar.

You are referring to the Brighton game..

Who cares? Keep your eye on Huddersfield, Reading, Leeds even. That’s where it’s at. All we want is automatic promotion. Winning this is a tiny bonus. Welcome but whatever. Job one: promotion.

Yeah, I also think Sammy has been very good. I think he can still beat Atsu and Gouffran to a squad place next season. Ritchie, Townsend, and fit and firing Aarons and Sammy would be a decent group of wingers to begin our first campaign back.

How come whenever Brighton play and I watch them they look totally dominant and the other team hardly tries?

But when we have played them we made them look average

Murray needs lessons from Tom Daley. Cos his diving is unconvincing to say the least.

We should be playing much better with the players we have.
I’m pleased that the season is coming to a end, we look a shadow of the team of earlier in the season when Gayle was scoring for fun.

You are totally wrong Burton parked the bus and we had a first half penalty disallowed as you know it should’ve been much easier. Comparing that to playing Sheffield weds is ridiculous you are one strange supporter!
