Rafa’s Rallying Cry To Clever Newcastle Fans

One thing Newcastle have shown clearly once again this season is that they have one of the best fan bases of any club in world football.

An average home gate of over 51,000 in the second division of English football clearly shows the passion of the Geordie fans.

Ans with Brighton winning again last night at QPR (2-1) the south coast club are back ahead of us by 2 points so to stay on top of the league we must win at Hillsborough this afternoon.

Rafa Benitez praises Newcastle fans

3,100 fans are off to Sheffield today to support the lads; this is what Rafa has said about today’s game and the traveling support:

“I am disappointed because we don’t have more tickets.”

“In terms of the support and the passion and commitment they put into every game I am really pleased.”

“The only thing that you can say is thank you and carry on please. The players appreciate that.”

“It is really important to have the support of our fans in the last three away games.”

“I think that the fans are very clever. They know they have to be behind the team.”

“When you travel a lot of miles you feel ready and desperate to help the team do well in one way or another.”

“At home, people will say we have to win our games but you still have to find a way to do it.”

“It’s difficult, but with the fans behind it’s easier then afterwards we can celebrate together.”

Let’s hope there are no more referee gaffes in our final six games of the season, but to win the league we will have to win nearly all of our remaining games.

Brighton & Hove Albion under Chris Hughton looking very good at the moment.

Don’t see the point in bringing back Hayden when Diame and uncle fester work so well in the middle…especially against a team who will try to bully us again and we’ll need 100% fit strong lads in the middle to make sure we don’t get rolled over again.

    I would go

    Anita Mbemba Lascelles Dummett

    Ritchie Shelvey Diame Gouffy
